This ball bearing and seal are used in a range of chainsaw models. It acts as part of the blade assembly and is designed to both lessen friction and stabilize moving parts. This bearing is also set within a race and the entire race/bearing/seal assembly must be replaced at the same time. The bearing is encased with a rubber seal, which prevents fuel leakage and keeps the engine working smoothly. It does not impede the bearing as it turns.
