My husband expected we needed a new dishwasher but I insisted on trying to fix it first. You need a Torx screwdriver so make sure you have a set. A little difficult to get cover back on and lined up by myself, but I managed and this was my first attempt at major appliance repair. I replaced the entire console and the dispenser. Ordered a new detergent dispenser that arrived within two days. Removed screws on the inside of door that removes the front door panel. The detergent dispenser is held on by a bracket with six screws. There is one plugin that needs to be disconnected. Everything is reinstalled as before. It work as before. Read more

I bought a new one and installed it. I had to buy a set of small Torx drivers to remove screws holding front panel. Wish I'd known to have very small hex wrench to remove 6 screws holding soap dispenser. It was also quite a juggling act to hold the front panel on the dishwasher door steady and put the screws back in. However, the new dispenser works perfectly! Read more
