Ice maker would not dispense ice Eddie J. • Phenix City , AL • August 02, 2021
I replaced the auger motor. You have to remove complete ice maker. Everything is just like help video to do except yoke dispenser. I watched video several times. Yoke will not just tap loose, after 30 minutes of tapping, I was using screwdriver to brace. I used a Dremel tool to cut part of shaft, came off easy then. After that, the repair went great. I have ice, I noticed motor I received was stronger. Parts came on time stated and worked great. I will order again on other repairs.

This icemaker fill cup and bearing assembly directs water from the inlet tube into the ice mold and provides the pivot point for the shutoff arm. Replacing a cracked or missing cup helps stop leaks, misdirected fills, and inconsistent ice production.
- Channels incoming water into the ice mold to prevent splashing and overfilling
- Provides the pivot/bearing for the ice level (shutoff) arm
- Helps maintain consistent cube size and reliable icemaker shutoff
- Typical symptoms: water or ice buildup under the icemaker, overfilling or hollow/irregular cubes, or a loose/binding shutoff arm
What's included: 1 fill cup and bearing assembly Install notes:
- Unplug the refrigerator and shut off the water supply before servicing
- Remove the ice bin and detach the icemaker to access the side-mounted cup
- Position the new cup directly under the fill tube; secure with existing hardware and verify the shutoff arm pivots freely in the bearing
- Restore power and water; run a test fill and check for leaks

Ice stripper removes ice cubes from the ice maker mold so the dispenser or storage bin fills properly. Replacing a worn or broken stripper helps the ice maker eject cubes cleanly and reduces ice jams or stuck cubes. What it does:
- Pushes or guides harvested cubes out of the ice mold into the bin during the ice maker's harvest cycle.
- Prevents cubes from sticking in the mold; a damaged stripper can cause incomplete ejection or leftover ice in the mold.
- Works with the ice maker's ejector mechanism to maintain consistent cube release and storage.
- A faulty or broken stripper may lead to noisy operation, partial fills, or visible ice build-up in the mold.
What's included: One ice stripper. Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before starting any repair to avoid electrical shock.
- Remove the ice maker or access panel per the manufacturer's instructions to reach the stripper; keep small parts and screws organized.
- Inspect the ice mold and surrounding components for damage or ice build-up; clear ice before installing the new stripper.
- After installation, restore power and run a test harvest cycle to ensure proper cube ejection.
