I was able to order new hinge receiver brackets for the door. The repair was not that bad. I just had to take off the lower door, take the two trim pieces off the sides and unscrew the screws holding the oven into the face of the cabinet. Then slide it out about halfway and put a step stool under the front to keep it from tipping over. Replaced igniter under each burner knob. Used needle nose pliers to remove the electrical connections (2) of the igniter then slipped it off the gas valve shaft. Replaced with new igniter (click in place) and replaced electrical connectors. Took about 15 minutes to complete. Read more

JennAir does not make this part anymore, but Whirlpool has a replacement. After checking several online sites, AppliancePartsPros had the best price and very reasonable shipping costs. It took a while to figure out what was going on but I noticed the oven light would come on and the convection fan would shut off. I would push the door shut and everything would work for a while and then it would start all over. I noticed the oven gasket was very hard in places and that was what was causing the door to not close. It was not a hinge problem. Replace the gasket which was very easy to do yourself and your problems will go away. Read more

I replaced both the element and the switch. It was a relatively easy fix, although I needed a second set of hands to hold the stovetop upright while I did the replacement. The entire job took about 45-60 minutes. Read more

After many years of excellent service the burner I use most often on the top of my JenAir range rusted through. After trying to remove the burner, which was firmly rusted into place, I decided to replace the cooktop pan, both burners and igniters. It was an easy repair to swap out the new parts for the old, and the only tool necessary was a #2 phillips screw driver. Ordered four new knobs. Because of the stove model, the four knobs are three different parts. Three of the knobs fit and work fine. The fourth knob had the information printed on it, off by 180 degrees (in positioning, not temp). Hence, if the knob fit correctly, it pointed to the floor when in the off position. Yet, when turned to the off position-toward the ceiling, the flame was pretty high. The other three point to the ceiling. No flame. New knob being sent. Holding my breath. Read more
