We actually were able to determine that one of the freezer switches was bad and taped it down for about 3 days. The beeping stopped. Our fridge has two freezer switches and one fridge side switch. I ordered all three from these guys. They were cheaper than Whirlpool by about $20 for parts and about $15 for shipping. After watching numerous videos I was able to discern that the problem was with one of the following: the timer, the heater, or the thermostat. a short time check showed me that the timer was working so that narrowed it down to the other two. Not having the necessary tools to check those two I ordered both parts. I replaced the ice door motor with new hardware, circuit board on touch panel display then the main ECB on top in the doghouse. It finally came to life and started working! No issues with the front panel and everything works as it did! Read more

Water line coming out of inlet valve to ice maker was cracked. Removed the paperboard cover from the bottom of the back of the fridge, then unplugged the water line going from the inlet valve to the ice maker. Wasn't sure this new tube was going to work, because the original had an elbow on it. Fit just fine. Removed grille from front and disconnected other end of ice maker water line. Attached new line and now I have ice! Read more

After using the crushed ice feature on my KitchenAid French Door refrigerator, the ice maker wouldn't stop dispensing ice, crushed or cubed. I thought it had to do with the paddle switch being stuck or something else in the door, but all door components seemed to be working as intended.
