The Door Switch is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire wall ovens. It is a component located on the oven door that detects when the door is opened and closed. The door switch works alongside the control board to regulate oven operations based on door position.
Symptoms of a bad door switch can include:
- Oven failing to automatically go into bake or warm modes after door closure
- Interior lights not turning on when the door is opened
- Control buttons/display remaining constantly lit instead of dimming
- Oven not heating or functioning properly in different modes
Causes relate to normal wear over extended use as the door switch mechanism cycles with frequent door openings and closings. Moisture exposure or impacts could also degrade switch performance.
This OEM Frigidaire switch is compatible with Amana, Jenn-Air, KitchenAid, and some Electrolux wall oven models as well.

Frigidaire microwave oven lights and timer work but oven doesn't heat Reese F. • Essex Junction , VT • August 16, 2015
I diagnosed this problem via the web and the advice was spot on. The problem was a failure of the bottom door switch. I used a multimeter to verify that the switched never closed properly. It took me a minute to figure out how to remove the old switch (press a release tab under the switch while simultaneously rotating counter-clockwise). That was about the most difficult part of the repair.

Simple easy to do repair and I saved $90.00 on service fee for a tech to do the repair.

Part Number: W10860916
This spark ignition module generates the high-voltage pulses that light the burners' igniters on a gas appliance. Replacing a failed module restores consistent ignition so burners light reliably when you turn the control to ignite. What it does
- Converts line voltage to high voltage to create the ignition spark at each burner igniter
- Distributes spark pulses to multiple burners during lighting
- Common failure symptoms include no spark on all or several burners, intermittent/weak sparking, or clicking without ignition
- Helps eliminate the need to light burners manually
What's included
- One spark ignition module
Install notes
- Disconnect power and shut off gas supply before servicing
- Access the module, note wire positions, and transfer connectors one at a time to the new module
- Mount securely and ensure all terminals are fully seated; avoid pinching or chafing wires
- Reassemble, restore power and gas, and verify proper ignition on all burners
Tech tip
- If only a single burner won't spark, check that burner's igniter and spark switch/wiring first; the module typically affects multiple burners.
