Ordered the parts and followed the instruction videos that Sears provide, Initially tried to order parts from Sears directly but the web-page kept complaining about my shipping address. Their loss- no wonder they're going out of business. Also, should note that the original assembly was plastic but the replacement was metal. Sure sign of a crappy cost-cutting decision. The Dishrack Track (Right) is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. It is responsible for supporting the third-level dishrack and allowing it to glide in and out smoothly during the loading and unloading process. This track is designed specifically for the right side of the third-level rack.
Causes of a bad track include damage from heavy use over time, such as dulling or bending of the metal track surface from repeated loading/unloading of dishes. Debris or residue buildup along the track can also cause issues.
Symptoms of a bad track include:
- Rack that will not fully extend or retract
- Binding or sticking during rack movement
- Rack that will not stay positioned above

Ordered dishwasher rack tine tips and bottle of vinyl touch up paint. I applied the paint to each tine and then placed the tips on the tines. I waited a few hours before using my dishwasher to allow the paint to dry and allow the tips to stick to the tines.
