Genuine Whirlpool part

The Lower Door Seal is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool dishwashers. This seal runs along the bottom edge of the dishwasher door, creating a tight seal against the tub when closed to contain water inside during cycles. This seal measures approximately 22 inches in length
Causes of lower door seal failure commonly involve repeated compression stresses from opening/closing actions gradually stiffening the flexible gasket material. Drying out and cracking occurs over years of heat exposure as well.
Symptoms of a worn lower door seal include:
- Water leaking out from beneath dishwasher door during cycles
- Difficulty latching door completely from warped seal edges
- Visible cracks, splits or brittleness along the length of the seal
- Gaps allowing water intrusion beneath door perimeter
This versatile OEM part is also compatible with select Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, and some Kenmore dishwasher models.

The dishwasher leaking out the bottom of the door. Daniel L. • Boscawen , NH • February 10, 2023
My Whirlpool dishwasher was leaking out the bottom of the door. I replaced the gasket and the lower door seal. When I ran a test wash, it was still leaking. After reading more online, I found that it could be a cracked washer arm. The initial inspection of the washer arm looked normal but when I used my faucet to slowly pour water into the inlet of the arm, I noted that water was leaking through a seam and not just the holes where it should come out. I then tried running a wash without the...

Symptoms of a bad cabinet seal include:
- Water leaking from the bottom or sides of the dishwasher door
- Visible cracks or tears in the seal
- Increased moisture or puddles around the dishwasher
- A loose or improperly seated seal
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

After watching a video on how to replace the drain pump, I carefully energized the dishwasher (from water and electricity) then removed the dishwasher to take a look. After removal of drain hose from the pump, discovered that drain hose was connected to water inlet assembly which also needed removal to...

With the basket out of the dishwasher, the plastic parts basically snap on and off... popped the broken parts off and the new parts on. The 2 wheel and mount assemblies were a little more complicated. The video on the website advises to disconnect the supply line and drain line... I didn't have to do this. I just pulled the dishwasher out of its cabinet a little over a foot and removed the 2 screws holding each assembly in place and removed them. The previous gaskets (2 PER ASSEMBLY)...
