This genuine Briggs & Stratton control bracket can be used as a replacement part for appliances operated by small engines, including lawn tractors, lawnmowers, snowblowers, leaf blowers, vacuums, tillers, and generators. The function of a control bracket in a small engine appliance is to hold the throttle and the governor assembly in place.A control bracket might have to be replaced in the event that it suffers damage over time; damage to a control bracket can come in the form of loosening features, erosion, or cracks that inhibit the bracket from properly keeping the throttle and the governor assembly in place. If this is the case, the bracket must be removed and a replacement control bracket must be ordered immediately in its place. A screwdriver, a nut driver, and a pair of pliers will be needed in order to properly replace and re-install a control bracket.
