The cap assembly is necessary for all gas-powered lawn and garden equipment. The primary function is to keep fuel in the tank while the device is in operation. It is also made to keep dust, dirt, and other debris from falling into the tank. The cap assembly may become damaged from too much pressure or force being applied.
