Judy S Willard , OH October 19, 2018 Appliance: LG Washer WT5070CW Ue error code and the machine was not out of balance. It would get to about 13 on the spin cycle and would keep refilling and not finish the spin cycle. Had this same problem with my previous Whirlpool washer so I knew what the problem was on my LG machine. Ordered the suspension rods and my husband and I replaced them in about five minutes. Hardest part was getting the front latches to release on the lid. I helped lift up on the drum and he put them in place one by one. Simple fix. Vaughn B Winfield , MO May 17, 2022 Appliance: LG Washer WT5070CW Ue Had constant uneven load alarms for longer than I care to admit. Got completely unbearable over the last 2 to 3 months. Realized I couldn’t put it off any longer so I replaced suspension rod assemblies. Instructions are to open the lid with a putty knife to release the retention clips which keep the top closed. I couldn’t get those suckers to let go for nothing. So I just used a screw driver to detach the hinge at the back so I could shift the top back. I was unable to get the clips to release and complete the repair. No real tools were needed for the repair itself. It was simply lift up on the corner of the drum slide out the old rod and slide in the new one. Anyone can do it. Now no more alarms in my wash machine works good as new. Warren J Oak Park , IL December 04, 2022 Appliance: LG Washer WT5070CW Error code ue After researching the code I found the most common issue is the support rods and springs. I opened the machine to see how hard it was going to be to get to the rods and saw they are readily accessible The video showed needing to open the back but it was not necessary as the hose was not wrapped around the rod. Opening the top was the hardest part as you have to push very firmly with a stiff putty knife. I ordered the parts and had them in hand in 3 days. Installation took all of 10 minutes. So far it seems to have solved the UE issue. Read More... 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
