This is a metal mounting bracket designed to secure the blower motor in place within a range or cooktop downdraft system. It provides stable support so the motor operates without excess vibration or noise. Replace this bracket if it is bent, cracked, or if the motor rattles or shifts out of position during use.
I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain. Wired it back, turned it on, and was thrilled. Now I'll replace the knobs and burners and we're back in business. Read more
I ordered the parts and my husband installed the 3 burners in a matter of 10-15 minutes!! The right burner was the same as the left burner so we ordered 2 right burners (the schematic said the left burner was no longer available). Worked just fine!!
