Chainsaws generate a great deal of heat and friction, but the oil pump systems that keep the situation under control. They do this through the use of chainsaw bar oil poured into a reservoir. It remains in the reservoir until the throttle is engaged which then cues the pump to spray oil out of a port and smear it on the bar and chain to reduce friction and heat. The use of the oil pump is crucial, and this OEM oil pump assembly is a full replacement for times when a chainsaw is not getting adequate oil on the bar. It works with Poulan, Craftsman, Poulan Pro, and others. This project requires only wrench and screwdriver sets to perform the repair. It ships as an individual kit ready for full replacement of the original oil pump.
