Defrost not working on upright 20 year old freezer W D D. • Spring , TX • September 19, 2014
A word of thanks to AppliancePartsPros - they delivered in one day. Ordered at 4PM CDT and received the part by noon the next day. Also, Alicia in the help department was able to locate an electrical diagram for my old freezer. This was essential for proper setup and her persistence in tracking down the diagram was top notch. Now on to my problem. One day I opened the freezer and found frost and thawing food. I attributed this to the door hitting an item in the freezer and not completely...

Conderser motor went out David W. • Durand , MI • April 03, 2014
After reviewing the 'how to' video on AppliancePartsPros.com, I unplugged the refrigerator and removed the back cover to access the motor. I then unplugged the wiring and removed the bad motor. I cut the clip plug and wired it to the new motor, installed the fan blade from the old motor and re-installed the new motor. After connecting the clip plug and re-installing the back cover, I plugged the refrigerator in and checked the interior about 5 minutes after the repair. Everything has been...

The lint catch was broken Misti P. • Spokane , WA • January 18, 2019
This was actually one of the easiest fixes I’ve done. All that was required was to remove 3 screws to remove the broken part. I used a pair of pliers to remove the moisture sensors from the broken part to the new one.

Freezer cold/fridge warm all vent passages frozen solid water in fridge & condenser fan motor not working L. H. • Cartersville , VA • July 08, 2016
Replaced: condenser fan motor, defrost timer, defrost thermostat (bi-metal), and added a heat probe.
Fan motor obviously shot... hard to turn by hand. Defrosted for 48 hours, cleaned & bleached drain tube. Never tried to test the old timer or bi-metal but it now runs perfectly and tightly maintains 39/0 degrees with dry fridge. When reassembled and powered up, compressor did nothing... I advanced the timer knob until condenser started. Hung the heat probe securely on defrost element and...

The evaporator fan was squealing and intermittent Carol M. • Hammond , IN • November 03, 2015
I watched videos to diagnose the noise coming from my refrigerator, then watched videos on how to replace the part, then I ordered the replacement part which came very promptly. The part works perfectly. I am a 73-year old woman, and found this was an easy fix, even on a bottom freezer model refrigerator. The AppliancePartsPro price for this part is a good buy, and I will buy again when I need a part. I have ordered replacement parts from AppliancePartsPro for my cooking range previously and...

Dryer drum was beginning to stall occasionally Dana J E. • San Marcos , CA • March 17, 2015
After shopping for a new Whirlpool Thin Twin Stack, Found appliance parts pros online and decided to take it apart to see if repair was a possibility. APPro's online instructions were easy to follow, in a couple hours it was apart, and I placed the order. Reg ground took a week from NY, so the laundry piled up that week. The parts arrived on Monday morrning, by afternoon the machine was running like new! The cause was the belt tensioner pulley had frozen. Replaced it, drum wheels,snap...

Old kenmore upright freezer old designs last longer (bought it used 20 years ago) Don C. • Bastrop , TX • February 07, 2015
Decided that the leaking door gasket was worth fixing. New gasket had wrinkles that I have not figured out how to solve. A friend assured me that a new (soft) gasket, WITH a magnetic edge toward the steel door frame, will "heal" in a few days. Glad to know that.
