After I came from from work, my wife told me about the problem. I quickly began to research the code F10 which according to the paper in the pouch behind my range said it needed a new temperature control sensor and that should fix it. It also said that if that doesn't fix the problem that I'd have to replace the circuit board which probably got fried due to the runaway temperature. Before we replaced the board, my wife tried to replace just the element. We had one we had ordered several years ago when this same thing happened. When that didn't work we replaced the board and could see where the old board was damaged so we figured this was the solution. Removed the bake element and broil element. Tested them with a multi meter. They failed. Ordered new elements. Received them in 2 days. Installed new elements. Oven works great. Entire fix took 10 minutes to remove and test elements, 10 minutes to install the new elements. It was my first time working on an appliance, the instruction videos were great! Read more

Replaced spark module - oven was less than two years old. Like a lot of new gas ovens, turning on any one burner to 'lite' sends sparks to all 5 top burners. The difficulty was getting to the spark module, as some generic videos show access to it from the upper panel on the back of the oven, but it wasn't there. Had to take off the entire top burner panel of the oven to get to the module, and then it was simple to replace the module by transferring the wires to the new one. I did see on... Read more

Watched the video here, took the leap that burner was the problem and ordered it. Also found another vid on you tube that was more specific to my Kenmore. Tip: find out how to take off the oven door. For mine it was very easy but not detailed in the APP vid. I followed instructions in APP vid but also first took off back panel of range and tested resistance of old burner to ensure that was truly the problem (as suggested by other YT vid). I unplugged the stove ,cut the 50 amp cord off from the terminal block as it was burned took out the terminal block as it to was all melted .installed the new terminal block with a new stove cord back in business Read more

It took a little longer then I was hoping but wasn’t terrible. If the burner is very old at all make sure to get the new screws. Both of mine snapped when trying to remove them. The new one works great. Read more

Had to pull double oven and range top out from wall which involved removing the upper kitchen cabinet. Took the sheet metal off the back and had the socket swapped out in a couple of minutes. My old oven works like a charm! Read more
