Refridgerator stopped cooling Gary S. • Madison , WI • April 13, 2015
Replaced the Thermistor Assembly and also picked up Overload Protection circuit per the comments posted by the "experts" on the web site. Both parts cheap enough. I ordered parts at 3:30 in the afternoon and they showed up the next morning from half way across the country. Outstanding service. It also fixed the 9 year old refrigerator. Replacing the parts took about a half hour most of which was moving the unit from the wall and removing the panel to get at the parts.

This run capacitor provides the continuous electrical boost needed to keep the refrigerator's compressor motor running efficiently. It stores and releases energy to maintain the proper phase and voltage for the compressor during normal operation. Replace this capacitor if the compressor struggles to start, hums without running, shuts off intermittently, or if the refrigerator stops cooling altogether.

Lg refrigerator compressor would intermittantly hum and shut down but then start normally minutes later Don C. • Pearland , TX • July 23, 2016
After watching repair videos, I decided I could order the parts needed and do it myself for less than a service call, not to mention the additional cost for parts markup and installation that a service technician would charge. I am very pleased that I did. I ordered the start relay, overload and capacitor with some help from Ilya at customer service to make sure I was getting the correct replacements. Installation was easy. The hardest thing was contorting my body into a position where I could...

Error code cf Robert A. • San Jose , CA • June 27, 2016
I bought a new cooling motor and blade and installed it, everything seems to be working fine now, did not take that long to fix, maybe about 30 minutes, the longest part was trying to get the old fan off the old motor, finally had to cut it off with bolt cutters, I have a 12 year old LG Refrigerator 26930 double door, if you are handy its not that hard. I had to remove a couple parts in front of the motor to get to it, but very easy. Better than buying a new refrigerator...:). I replaced the...

Flap on ice dispenser was loose Bruce B. • Corpus Christi , TX • March 12, 2019
I was buying a part for my other refrigerator and decided to replace the ice tray on my LG, as it was not emptying properly. When I found the part, I also saw a video attached to the ice dispenser parts. I had taped over the ice dispenser years ago and would just open the freezer for ice. Watched the video and they sure made it look easy to replace that flap, so I decided to give it a shot. I replaced the ice tray as soon as the parts came in, but did not have the time to tear off the front...
