Noisy bearings Gerald D. • Belle Vernon , PA • October 18, 2014
Repair went fairly smoothly by following the EXCELLENT how-to video provided. I had only a few issues and suggestions. 1. Because many of the screws and fasteners are of multiple sizes, I would recommend laying them out in a muffin tray or on a paper with labels for where they go back. 2. After removing the weights and prepping to remove the shock absorbers, after the front ones were removed, the tub tilted so far the rear shock absorber separated. The friction pads fell out. It was easy...

The Noise Filter Assembly is an OEM part for LG washing machines, designed to minimize electrical noise interference within the appliance. This essential component ensures that the washer operates smoothly without emitting disruptive sounds that can affect both the performance of the washer and the comfort of your home environment.
Causes of a bad Noise Filter Assembly can range from wear and tear over time to exposure to power surges or electrical spikes, which can damage the internal components of the filter.
Symptoms of a bad Noise Filter Assembly include:
- Increased electrical noise or buzzing sounds emanating from the washer
- Intermittent disruptions in the washer's performance
- The washing machine failing to start or experiencing power fluctuations
This OEM LG part is also compatible with some Kenmore models.

This is an electric solenoid water inlet valve that controls the flow of cold water into the washer. It opens when the washer calls for water during fill cycles and closes to stop flow when the correct level is reached. Replace this valve if the washer is not filling with water, filling too slowly, leaking from the back, or continuing to fill when it should stop.

Washer leaking Lawrence P. • Williamsburg , VA • January 10, 2016
I first replaced the drain hose, as this seemed to be a common problem with LG. The washer continued to leak, I then noticed it was leaking from the valve assembly, inlet. It took 10 minutes and now the washer works fine with no evidence of water.

Lg washer bearings failing (loud spin cycle) Mike D. • Ninety Six , SC • March 31, 2026
Replaced the failing bearings and seal to eliminate loud noise during spin cycle. First the positive feedback regarding the video provided saved time and efforts and was VERY helpful. I called customer services to review the parts I was ordering. I was provided the wrong information and back bearing for the drum. Reordered the correct one which came quickly and was supplied RMA for refund with correct bearing. It took several weeks to issue a notice of refund and will take longer to be posted...

This rotor position sensor (Hall sensor) tracks the direct-drive motor's rotor position and speed so the control can commutate the washer motor accurately. Replacing a failed sensor can restore proper wash/agitate and spin performance. What it does:
- Detects rotor position and speed from the stator assembly
- Sends timing feedback to the control for correct motor start, direction, and speed
- Supports smooth agitation and spin ramp-up/ramp-down
- Failure may cause: no spin or agitation, cycle stalling/pausing, or an LE motor error code
What's included:
- 1 rotor position sensor assembly
Install notes:
- Unplug the washer and shut off water; wear protective gloves
- Access the motor at the rear of the tub; remove the back panel if needed
- Remove the rotor and stator; support the stator to protect wiring, then unclip/unscrew and replace the sensor
- Align the sensor correctly and seat the connector fully before reassembly and testing
