Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Door clicking, door not closing easily   Mike K. • Broadview Heights , OH • January 27, 2020

Replaced both sets of door cams on my Kenmore Elite Refrigerator. The most important thing to know is that you DO NOT have to remove the doors from the refrigerator to replace BOTH sets of cams. You just have to remove the lower grill which is a snap fit (I also turned off the water and unplugged the unit). My fridge has an ice and water dispenser where the water and electrical lines go through the cams on the left side. Be sure to order the correct parts as the cam holes on the freezer side... We actually were able to determine that one of the freezer switches was bad and taped it down for about 3 days. The beeping stopped. Our fridge has two freezer switches and one fridge side switch. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Ice maker failed   James T. • Summerville , SC • June 02, 2015

Purchased a new ice maker, and mounting bracket, installed them, plugged in the ice maker. One note of advice. Put your old ice maker and ALL extra parts in a safe place where you can find them, but your significant other cannot. Why? Because if your significant finds them he/she may dispose of them and you will need them to install your new ice maker, I have learned the hard way. Read more

Replaced door latch and switch. Parts are plastic so you must know what you are doing to avoid breaking new parts. Videos were hard to find for my model - eventually I found a video that addressed a different problem but required disassembly of a washer cabinet similar to mine. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Ice would not dispense   Gary A. • Chula Vista , CA • August 21, 2020

Found bad auger motor drive shaft, it was rounded on the end that goes into motor. While I was there I replaced the seal, auger (old one rusty) and coupler. The new auger is stainless steel (I believe and slightly longer) and should not corrode like old white one.
