This bale strap is the replacement strap used to secure and support the appliance's bale or handle assembly, restoring proper hold and alignment for normal operation. It replaces a worn or broken strap to help the door/handle stay connected and function reliably. What it does:

- Restores proper tension and positioning when the original strap is cracked, stretched, or torn
- Helps prevent the bale or handle from detaching or sagging under normal use
- Reduces rattling or loose-handle symptoms caused by a compromised strap
What's included:
- One replacement bale strap
Install notes:
- High-level replacement: remove access panel or trim as required, detach the old strap, and fasten the new strap in the same orientation
- Use basic hand tools; avoid forcing parts to prevent breakage
- Disconnect power and follow appliance-specific safety procedures before servicing

The Ice Dispenser Lever is an OEM component specifically designed for Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerators with built-in ice dispensers. Located inside the ice and water compartment, the lever is responsible for releasing cubed or crushed ice when engaged.
Symptoms of a bad ice dispenser lever include:
- Failure to dispense ice when the lever is lifted
- Loose, wobbly, or uneven movement of the lever
- Ice dispenser mechanism not triggering properly
Causes of a bad lever can be worn gears or connector linkages inside the ice dispensing mechanism from repeated use over time.
This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, and select Kenmore fridge models.

The ice dispenser lever was cracked and did no longer trigger the dispensing of the ice Andrea M. • Honolulu , HI • March 01, 2015
I replaced the Ice Dispenser Lever. Since the replacement part is only available in white and my fridge is bone, I replaced also the Water Dispenser Lever, so it looks much better.
I followed the instructions in the video, which were very useful and very well done. My problem was that the refrigerator is a KitchenAid built-in, while the instructions were for a Whirlpool, so the removal of the faceplate was quite different from what was shown in the video and more difficult. Also there were some...

Ice cube dispenser/flap was broken not actuating the ice bucket motor. Peter P. • Sonoma , CA • July 24, 2023
Ice Door Kit, Control Bracket, and Ice Dispenser Guide were purchased. I followed two videos on replacing the parts. The Control Bracket WP2180226 / AP6005965, was straight forward and I discovered a snapped pin on the old bracket causing an electric switch to be out of place... that repair was easy.
When it came to the hinges of the ice chute, I discovered the snap-in, on right side, of the hinge was cracked... this is why the pin escaped. This cracked part is molded into the entire...
