The Alumilastic Cement is an OEM part for Whirlpool appliances, typically used in refrigerators and freezers. It serves as a thermal mastic compound, designed to provide a secure and heat-conductive bond between various components, such as evaporator coils and the interior walls of the appliance.
Causes of a bad alumilastic cement can include drying out, cracking, or losing its adhesive properties over time. This can occur due to age, exposure to temperature fluctuations, or improper application. When the cement fails, it can lead to poor thermal conductivity and decreased cooling efficiency.
Symptoms of a bad alumilastic cement include:
- Reduced cooling performance
- Unusual noises from the cooling system
- Components becoming loose or detaching
- Increased energy consumption
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

White plastic hinge cover that snaps onto the top of your refrigerator door hinge. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing for a clean finished look.
Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
The seal on the door of the refigerator was damaged also the hinge cap needed replacing as it was cracked Michael S. • Fredericksburg , VA • January 20, 2016
I took the new seal out of it's packaging and used a blowdryer on low heat to soften up the seal so that the crease from shipping (it was folded to ship) disappeared. Next I took the refrigerator door off, removed the old seal, & cleaned the area where the new seal would be applied. Following the video on the Appliance Pro Parts website, I re-installed the new seal and put the door back on. Last step was to snap on the new hinge cap I ordered. The video online was easy to follow and this...

Replaces broken or missing end cap that secures the door shelf rail to your refrigerator or freezer door liner. Keeps shelf trim bar properly mounted.
Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
The end caps had broken due to too many items on the upper door shelf Dean H. • Aurora , CO • November 12, 2014
On our refrigerator the end caps had broken, leaving a flat part of the end cap covering the mounting holes in the door. I drilled through the center of the broken pieces to release the spring tension on the back of the end cap. I could then remove them and install the new end caps onto the bar and then the bar onto the door. On our refrigerator the model number did not match when cross checking with the part number. The picture really helped.

We lost the post that held the bottom drawers of our 20 year old refrigerator in position Wade H. • Phoenix , AZ • January 02, 2017
Sears no longer supported our refrigerator model, so I called Appliances Pros. I spoke with a young lady, she took the model number and description of the part we lost. It was actually 2 parts that screwed together, she alerted me to this fact. She guided me, on my computer, to the right parts. She was very efficient and in less than a a minute had located both parts. I purchased the parts, which took about a week or so to arrive. Now my bottom refrigerator drawers are in position and sliding...
