The Switch Mounting Screw is an OEM part compatible with Whirlpool washing machines. This screw securely mounts the cycle selector switch within the control console assembly. Proper fastening ensures dependable operation of control functions.
Causes of a bad mounting screw can stem from stress cracks developing over multiple years of operation. Vibrations accumulate, slowly loosening connections housed in a wet environment.
Symptoms of a bad mounting screw include:
- Loose or rattling switch within the console face
- Difficulty selecting cycles as buttons wobble out of place
- Water intrusion hastening corrosion of electrical terminals
- Potential shock hazards if live connections are exposed
This Whirlpool replacement screw restores a tight mounting point. It is compatible with brands like Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Neptune mah4000 had a no spin but did pump water out but not all of it Guillermo S. • Chicago , IL • March 06, 2017
I had the problem couple years ago I bypassed unbalance switch it worked fine for a couple years and had the same problem again so ruled out unbalanced switch. Door lock light on and checked made sure wax motor pushed out all the way too the second switch for spin check OK, so took a chance on displacement switch x2. My family loves to over load it and also replaced by passed unbalance switch and boom every thing went back to normal. Its also good to clean every thing when apart.

Washing machine would shake so bad during the spin cycle that it would move about a foot Charles L. • Arroyo Grande , CA • April 17, 2017
I first checked to make sure the washer was level. The washer is on a concrete floor. After watching lots of you tube videos I ordered all the parts that could be causing this problem. I ordered: Balance Ring, Suspension Pad Kit (3 rectangle plastic wear pads), Tub Suspension Pads(3 curved plastic wear pads), Suspension Spring, and a Spanner Wrench tool. After getting the washer apart it was obvious that the problem was the Tub Suspension Pads they had completely worn away so that only the...

No spin every thing else worked made high speed ticking noise Anthony D. • Follansbee , WV • May 12, 2015
First I looked at the many you tube vids, and there are many. appliance parts pros pretty much shows you how to deal with the parts. I changed the brake shoes and the clutch assembly which also comes with the driver cam. I also changed the metal brake operating cam. I think that brake lockup or improper brake release was the problem that broke the plastic cam driver. This was the broken plastic part making all the ticking noise. I first changed the coupling on the motor but that wasn't bad. in...
