Dishwasher door popping opening Paul M. • Chester , NJ • November 04, 2018
We scoured the web and there are few references to this so I want to add it in case it helps.
Replacing hinges solved the popping opening issue.
We could not solve our dishwasher door issue after a number of other tries: Latch, Catch, Ropes that attach to the springs that pull the door closed.
I tend to believe the solve could be different b/c all these things work together. But for us, we were skeptical that the hinge swap would work and we were very pleasantly surprised.

- Restores proper flow from the machine's dispenser when the spinner is worn or broken
- Can reduce uneven rinsing or leftover detergent caused by a damaged spinner
- Works as the rotating outlet component of the dispenser/manifold system
What's included: One manifold spinner assembly. Install notes:
- Disconnect power and water supply before beginning any service.
- Remove access panels and dispenser/manifold housing; keep fasteners organized.

This is a small plastic or rubber fitting that secures the power cord where it enters the dishwasher's junction box or base. It prevents the electrical wiring from being pulled, kinked, or damaged by absorbing tension on the cord. Replace this part if it is cracked or missing, which can leave wiring exposed and vulnerable to damage during installation or use.

The Lower Dishrack is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. It provides space for arranging and securely holding your dishes during the dishwashing cycle.
A bad lower dishwasher dishrack can be caused by regular wear and tear, exposure to hot water and cleaning agents, or accidental damage. If you notice rusting, chipping, or broken tines on the dishrack, it may indicate a problem with the rack itself.
Symptoms of a bad lower dishwasher dishrack include:
- Rust stains or residue on your dishes after a wash cycle
- Difficulty in loading or unloading dishes
- Unstable or wobbling dishes during the wash cycle
- Limited space or reduced capacity for dishes
Replace your faulty lower dishwasher dishrack with this genuine OEM part to restore your dishwasher.
This Whirlpool part can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.

Water leaking from the area proximate to the motor Nathan S. • Salt Lake City , UT • January 19, 2015
I reviewed the schematic and saw the Volute Seal, and Impeller Seal were the two that were closest my source of water. After watching the video about changing the Impeller/seal I removed the motor, impeller, and volute; I found that the impeller seal was the faulty one in my case. Since I'd ordered the volute and impeller seal kits (as I wasn't sure which it was) I installed both while I had it apart. Runs great, no water - simple to do. The seal changes took about 20 minutes. The only...

Fix a dishwasher motor that hums or won't start. This run capacitor provides the phase shift needed for smooth motor operation. DIY repair in 30-45 min.
Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
Dishwasher would start begin to fill with water then there would be 4 5 short "hums" or "buzzes" it would then shut off and drain what water had filled John S. • Granite Falls , MN • September 19, 2017
Figured it was either the capacitor and/or motor. Ordered both parts to be sure. tried changing the capacitor first; same problem. Replaced the motor (leaving the new capacitor in place). Unit now works fine. Overall an easy fix once you get the washer out and tip it on its side or top to get access to the motor area.
