One day my wife went to bake something and the bake/broil buttons as well as #3, #9, and oven light ceased to work. Local repair guy came by and wanted to charge $500 to fix it....YEAH RIGHT! Initially thought it might be the door seal or float relay switch, so I replaced both with no fix. Then I noticed that one of the arms of the lower sprayer was separating along the seam, water must have been spraying out the side right at the bottom of the door. Tested first by putting a few rubber bands really tight which appeared to decrease the leak significantly. So I replaced the lower spray arm and the leak is gone. I had no hope of separating the panel from the frame without damaging the frame since the two parts were rusted pretty badly and the screws holding the panel to the frame were completely beyond salvage. So I had to replace both the panel and the frame. I ended up removing the electrical/electronic connections, removing the panel/frame from the hinge and then replacing it with the new parts. While at my sister's house, she showed me how to access & dismantle the housing unit on her dishwasher, thinking the issue might be from that area. So, when I came home, I opened up my housing unit and found that several of the screws had come out and the pump outlet seal was stretched out and partially outside of the unit itself. Used the vinyl touch up paint on the tops of posts and slid vinyl tips over 130 posts. The paint acts as an adhesive to keep the tips secure. Read more

I found the part number, double checked it, and ordered the part, which arrived as promised. However, the part was just placed in a folded cardboard tube and was damaged by the shipper. I figured it was only a toe-kick, so I bent the part as best I could and installed it in 3 minutes. Read more
