The Lower Refrigerator Door Hinge is an OEM part for LG refrigerators, designed to support and pivot the refrigerator door, allowing it to open and close smoothly. This hinge is a critical component for the proper alignment and function of the door, ensuring an airtight seal when closed to maintain the internal temperature and efficiency of the refrigerator.
Causes of damage to the lower refrigerator door hinge often include normal wear and tear, excessive force when opening or closing the door, or corrosion due to moisture and cleaning agents.
Symptoms of a bad Lower Refrigerator Door Hinge include:
- Difficulty in opening or closing the refrigerator door.
- A door that hangs unevenly or does not close properly
- Unusual noises during door operation
- Visible wear or damage to the hinge itself.
This OEM LG part is also compatible with some Kenmore models.

Water tank assembly leaking Mark Y. • Ballinger , TX • August 22, 2016
Replaced tank assembly. Actually I think the supply hose was originally not fully seated in the tank and I think I could have re-seated it deeper through the gray bushing. When I set the line into the new tank, still leaking. Pulled out supply line and reset using a little more force and line went into the tank. Took the bushing clip off the other tank and used it for the supply line bushing. So far, no leaks. The thing to remember is to push the edges of each hose bushing inward to pull...

Ice dispenser would not run. Danny D. • Bellevue , NE • November 05, 2022
I ordered a new motor. The new motor's electrical harness was not long enough, so I had to use some wire from the old motor, splicing it to make it reach. Problem solved. Also, the in-the-door ice maker was leaking water and the old motor was covered with ice. Cleaned calcium buildup around the water inlet. Problem solved.

Ice was melting inside the ice maker Jeff K. • Chapel Hill , NC • June 22, 2022
We have an LG fridge that is 10 years old that was starting to have sweating problems around all the gaskets. So it was either a new fridge or try replacing the gaskets. I purchased a new ice maker door gasket using the parts catalog on the website. Very easy to order and they offer a short video to show the technique to switch out the old and new gaskets. Also did the same thing with the door gaskets and freezer drawer gasket. Website was very easy to work with and find the correct parts and...

Fridge would not defrost no error codes Nathaniel C. • Marietta , GA • April 04, 2015
I have had the unfortunate problem of fixing this previously, so knew what to order. I ordered the defrost sensor and heater... and replaced both. Honestly, all I needed was the sensor I did and ohm test and got 0 on it... meaning it was bad, but just in case I replaced the heater.
The fridge works great now, but I would suggest if this is your first time with this issue, remove the panel, unplug both sensors from the fridge, and do and ohm test while they are still in the fridge... and then...

ER CO was displayed refrigerator stopped working Christopher B. • Colorado Springs , CO • January 16, 2019
Unplugged frig to check connections, everything was ok. When I plugged it back in, nothing worked and the display and ice maker were flickering and clicking. Unplugged the display connector on the main board and could hear clicking from the main board itself.
Replacing the main board and capacitor fixed it. I only replaced the capacitor as a precaution. it may not have been bad, but I did it for good measure. Everything is working great now and I don't have to buy a new refrigerator.
