ER CO was displayed refrigerator stopped working Christopher B. • Colorado Springs , CO • January 16, 2019
Unplugged frig to check connections, everything was ok. When I plugged it back in, nothing worked and the display and ice maker were flickering and clicking. Unplugged the display connector on the main board and could hear clicking from the main board itself.
Replacing the main board and capacitor fixed it. I only replaced the capacitor as a precaution. it may not have been bad, but I did it for good measure. Everything is working great now and I don't have to buy a new refrigerator.

The Rear Evaporator Motor Grommet is an OEM part for LG refrigerators. It's designed to secure and cushion the evaporator motor, ensuring it remains in place and operates quietly. This grommet plays a crucial role in minimizing vibrations and noise from the motor, which can otherwise lead to a disruptive refrigerator operation.
Causes of a bad Rear Evaporator Motor Grommet can result from deterioration due to cooling and thawing cycles in the refrigerator. Physical damage during cleaning or servicing may cause a loose motor fit.
Symptoms of a malfunctioning Rear Evaporator Motor Grommet include:
- Unusual noises or vibrations from the back of the refrigerator.
- The evaporator motor shifting out of place, which can affect cooling efficiency.
- Increased wear on the evaporator motor due to lack of proper cushioning and support.
This OEM LG part is also compatible with some Kenmore models.

This is a rubber seal gasket that fits around the ice or water dispenser door on the refrigerator. It creates an airtight seal to prevent cold air from escaping and warm air from entering the ice bank area. Replace this gasket if you notice frost buildup around the dispenser, ice clumping in the dispenser chute, or if the seal appears cracked, torn, or no longer sits flush.

The condensing fan motor would not turn with power applied. Stephanie H. • Rio Vista , TX • August 29, 2017
I found the condensing fan motor would not turn with power applied. I also found a drain tube cracked and breaking.
I had to use a snub nose screwdriver to remove and replace condensing fan motor. The power wires were simply a snap on. The new drain tube just slipped on.
Thanks for the speedy delivery!

GE monogram range hood lights did not work. Kenmore refrigerator water dispenser would not shut off. Mark W. • Belair , MD • January 11, 2020
Refrigerator was easy. Simply replaced the activator switch that was sticking. The range hood was a little more difficult. I had replaced the switch years ago but it still didn’t work. So I took on the challenge of replacing the transformer. That was difficult to get to but once replaced and reassembled the lights work fine.

Ice and water would not come out. Walter J. • El Cajon , CA • June 14, 2020
Ice and water would not come out from dispenser on my Kenmore elite fridge freezer.
This is because.when you press the glass against the cover to get ice or water
there is a micro switch that goes bad.
To remove the cover, slide the bottom of the cover left or right to remove the cover.
Be careful not to lose spring on the back of the cover.
There is one screw that holds the microswitch in place.
Remove and replace micro switch and then in reverse out the parts back in.

LG refrigerator dispenser cover and other repairs. Jay R. • Morrisville , NC • September 11, 2022
I followed the video on AppliancePartsPros.com. But this is not easy as the person says. It took me some painful and careful prying with a plastic putty knife (I did not want to damage anything with a metal putty knife) and some struggle before I was able to remove the dispenser cover.
Once this was opened it was not difficult to transfer everything from the old dispenser cover to the new one. I also replaced Water and Ice buttons with new ones.
I planned to replace the Dispenser Touchpad....
