I heard grinding then noticed lack of rotation in a 4 yr old lg front loader washer David C. • Gaston , OR • September 19, 2015
I looked on the internet for similar descriptions for similar models and found many angry reports. Most said that the rotor assembly was bad as the nut that held the rotor and other parts together had loosened and allowed slippage between steel and plastic splines. Yes, I know that sounds like trouble, but apparently not to LG when they designed it. Most buyers complained that the part was covered by warrantee but not the labor and labor had been quoted as $400 to $600 dollars. Time to buy...

The Vent Hose is an OEM part for LG washing machines. This hose is essential for ensuring proper ventilation within the washer, allowing air to circulate and preventing the buildup of moisture and mildew. It helps maintain the efficiency of the washing machine by facilitating the expulsion of air and excess water vapor during operation.
Causes of a bad washer vent hose can include wear and tear over time, blockages from lint or debris, or damage due to bending or pinching.
Symptoms of a bad vent hose include:
- Excessive moisture or condensation inside the washer
- Musty odors from the washing machine
- Visible cracks or holes in the hose
- Poor ventilation leading to inefficient washing cycles
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore.

Water leaking from my front load washing machine Donald H. • Tustin , CA • July 03, 2015
Removed the top cover while the machine was operating, located the source of the leak. The top filler tube had worn a hole in a flex point. Found the right part on this site, replaced it with little effort. While in there I saw a similar hose and decided to replace it as its time was probably up too. So far so good, washing clothes and no leaks!! Great prices and best of all the right parts were delivered in a timely manner. Thanks for making this so easy. Only specialty tool used was hose...

I had a leaky door gasket on my washer. Gillis B. • Pasedena , CA • May 30, 2023
First I watched the very, very helpful video (twice), then I planned out the job in regards to tools, work area, and access. I have stacked units of washer/dryer due to space restrictions and had to ask my son-in-law to help me lift the dryer of the washer once I had prepared the process by fabricating 2 pieces of 3/4" plywood to turn the dryer and then slide it out far enough were 2 people can lift it and then set it on some cribbing for easy handling. Disconnected the power, turned off the...
