Lg washer leaking door boot Galyen R. • Madras , OR • May 12, 2017
Ordered boot, nozzle, and inner spring for boot. Would have ordered outer, but the schematic for parts made it very difficult to navigate to locate parts...24 hr/next day air and I have a happy wife. The only thing that would have made it easier, was having a pair of Spring Expansion pliers, be careful not to pinch inner boot! Used Youtube video as a walk through, completed in the fraction of the time if i hadnt watched!

Lg washer/dryer combo unit shook upper counter balance weight loose damaging the mount lugs on the tub cover and tore the tub gasket Christine V. • Saluda , VA • March 28, 2020
The upper counter-balance weight mount design is a poor design to begin with. It started to rattle loose approximately 5yrs into the 8yrs that we've owned it. As it would start to loosen up (as evidenced by the loud banging noise exhibited during operation); I'd shut it down, pull the top off, remove the weight (it was almost always half rattled off at this point), wrap the mount lugs with friction tape (the plastic lugs were being worn down/chaffed by the balance weight), put the weight back...

The Vent Hose is an OEM part for LG washing machines. This hose is essential for ensuring proper ventilation within the washer, allowing air to circulate and preventing the buildup of moisture and mildew. It helps maintain the efficiency of the washing machine by facilitating the expulsion of air and excess water vapor during operation.
Causes of a bad washer vent hose can include wear and tear over time, blockages from lint or debris, or damage due to bending or pinching.
Symptoms of a bad vent hose include:
- Excessive moisture or condensation inside the washer
- Musty odors from the washing machine
- Visible cracks or holes in the hose
- Poor ventilation leading to inefficient washing cycles
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore.

Water leaking from my front load washing machine Donald H. • Tustin , CA • July 03, 2015
Removed the top cover while the machine was operating, located the source of the leak. The top filler tube had worn a hole in a flex point. Found the right part on this site, replaced it with little effort. While in there I saw a similar hose and decided to replace it as its time was probably up too. So far so good, washing clothes and no leaks!! Great prices and best of all the right parts were delivered in a timely manner. Thanks for making this so easy. Only specialty tool used was hose...

Lg washer: roaring bearings pump noises not draining properly and clogged hoses Albert W. • Germantown , MD • October 07, 2018
Our 10-year-old LG WM2487HWMA front load washer had gradually developed multiple problems. It sounded like a jet engine during high speed spin, both the drain pump and circulation pumps were noisy, it would not drain properly (water was coming in during spin cycle), no water was spraying out at the top of the door into the drum like it is supposed to when the circulation pump was running. It's amazing we had still been able to wash clothes at all! With the help of the excellent...

Loud banging and imbalance during spin cycle Robert V. • Las Vegas , NV • January 03, 2016
My problem was a broken spider. I followed your excellent video, but have some additional input that should be incorporated in a new video showing the required upgrade procedures and parts required to repair an early model with damaged front tub half using currently available parts. Don't expect everything to go as easy as the video. 1) Used 4lb. brass hammer to drive shaft from bearings. 2) Torqued spider bolts to 20ft lbs. with thread locking compound. 3) attached rubber seal to front tub...

This washer tub assembly is the stationary outer drum that contains wash water and supports the spin basket and drive components. Replace a cracked or worn tub to stop leaks and restore smooth, quieter spin performance.
- Forms the sealed outer container for wash water and houses the spin basket
- Provides mounting points for suspension, motor, and hoses (varies by model)
- Keeps the basket aligned for balanced, quiet operation
- Typical symptoms of failure: water leaks, roaring/grinding during spin, excessive vibration, or visible cracks
What's included: 1 tub assembly Installation notes:
- Unplug the washer and shut off water; the tub is bulky—use two people and wear gloves
- Remove panels as needed for access, then disconnect hoses, wiring, suspension, and drive components to free the tub
- Transfer all reusable parts from the original tub to the new tub in the same orientation
- After reassembly, check for leaks and run a test cycle/spin to verify operation

Spin cycle sounded like a jet engine Bernard D. • Tomball , TX • February 20, 2017
First we called for "professional" help. Those guys took $60 of our money and said, "Get a new one, it'll be cheaper than having us fix it."
Then I found this site and videos and saw that other people had the same problem I had, common for LG washers after about 7 years, when the bearings fail. If I could replace just the bearings, it would be cheap: your site had the new bearings for around $65. But I saw another user recommended getting a new rear outer tub assembly to save time and the...

Le error code bad stator John K. • Independence , OH • July 22, 2016
The drum was hesitating and then not turning at all with an error code. Wife also smelled "something burning", which of course is never a good sign. Ordered a new stator and had my LG washer back up and running 15 minutes after getting the $100 stator via FedEx. This is the third repair on this machine in 8 years, all parts received from APP!!!! No need to go out and drop $1600 for a new front load LG washer!!! Thanks APP!!!!
