It was easy to find the burnt up parts and I could see what caused the problem of jarring an indicator loose and it struck a side wall (ground) and shorted out and burned the switch and indicator out. When I took the left side of the handle off I found the plastic piece that broke on the right side was about to break on the left side also.

The wiring harness with the 220v leads is quite large, so most of the time involved carefully removing it and documenting each connection to aid in installing the new one. The specific lead that failed must have had a lose connection, as the plastic coated socket on the end was completely gone, and about an inch of the wire leading to it was vaporized as well.
