The ice dispenser paddle broke into two pieces on my samsung refrigerator Greg S. • Pearland , TX • February 13, 2017
Ordered a new part from Appliance Parts Pros. Looked online on how to replace it.
Used a flat head screw driver to "pop" or pry off the faceplate mounted to the door. Once removed unscrewed two Phillips head screws to access the broken ice dispenser paddle. The old paddle popped off the hinge and the new one easily snapped into place.
Then just reversed my steps putting everything back together.
Total time was about 10 minutes to fix.

Removed lower rear cover, compressor was very hot. This is usually a capacitor issue, but the schematic on the back of the unit shows a start/ run relay. For the low cost, I replaced both. parts were delivered in 2 days.
The start/ run relay is mounted directly to the compressor. It slides on/ off with a little bit of prying. No fasteners.
The start capacitor is inside a white plastic housing on the lower right corner of the unit. Phillips screwdriver is all you need to complete the job.
