Howard April 20, 2015 for Model Number SHU6805/06 I have a Bosch dishwasher where the soap dispenser is not being activated during the wash cycle. All of the mechanical parts look OK but the wax actuator doesn't seem to be activating. I tested the voltage going to the motor and it showed only a steady 2.3 volts. Does this seem right or should it be 110v? Thank you
1 Answer Hello Howard, The wax motor is activated by 120Vac. You should disconnect the wax motor to check for the voltage. If it still reads 2.3 volts, the harness should be checked and the output from the board verified. If the reading is 120Vac, replace the harness. Steve October 01, 2014 for Model Number Bosch SHV46C03UC Hi. My dispenser has stopped opening on an older Bosch. I've read it may be an unreplacable control panel. Can you tell me what 'cycles' the washer goes through? I'm attempting to determine if I can just put the soap in the bottom of the machine before I run the wash.
1 Answer Steve, Bosch does not have a cycle chart available to determine at what cycle the unit is in at any given point. The door not opening could also be an issue of the units dispenser being faulty and you would have to check to see if the control is sending power to the dispenser to determine if it is the board or the dispenser. Dan May 31, 2012 for Model Number SHU33A02 UC/14 Purchased an actuator hoping that would fix the problem (dispenser not opening during cycle), but that didn't solve the problem. Put a meter to the wiring, but not sure what the voltage through the line is at this point in the assembly. Didn't register a reading at 10 - 150ac. If the control unit is bad, what are my options?

The only options you have is to either place the soap into the bottom of the unit at the start of the wash cycle, or replace the dishwasher unless you can find a used control or have your old control repaired.
