Alfred October 13, 2021 for Model Number shu3322uc/u12 The soap dispenser was not opening. I replaced the wax motor. Watched the motor during the wash cycle and it didn't move. Checked the voltage with the wires disconnected from the motor and it was 39-42v. Should that be enough to make the piston move? If so presumably this "new" wax motor is no good (how can I check?). If not what do I do?
1 Answer Alfred, the actuator 00166635 would use 110 Volts to operate. As it is not receiving the proper voltage, the failure would be in the main control 00647474. Read More...
1 Answer James, Unfortunately, we would not have information on the throw of the actuator. Read More...
Jimmy June 18, 2020 My detergent dispenser door is not opening during the wash cycle. Mechanically seems fine, I tested the actuator by jumping directly to the outlet, it worked. I get no voltage reading at the connector, but when should I be getting voltage? Should there always be 120V reading or would I need to have the dishwasher running and be at the proper time of the cycle to see the 120V reading?
1 Answer Jimmy, based on the information provided, there is either a failed wire or a failed main control. The wires can be tested for continuity to identify if there is a broken wire. The voltage sent to the dispenser would be measured based on where in the wash cycle the unit is. Read More...
Geno May 05, 2019 for Model Number SHU9902 UC/06 received replacement detergent dispenser and it has 2 connections on the bottom. The dishwasher has 1 wire available. Youtube video shows 2 wires. Is ok to use the part assy with 1 wire?
1 Answer Geno, The solenoid will not work with only 1 wire. There has to be another wire to the dispenser. Read More...
Mike May 03, 2019 for Model Number a613 My washer spins properly, but will not begin the wash agitation cycle. The timer hums and advances but no motor sounds. I replaced the timer and timer motor but that did not help.
1 Answer Mike, first check the speed control switch, make sure one of the buttons is pressed and locked down in place, then check the switch circuit. Since you've already tried a timer, you'll need to check the wires to the motor for damage or loose connections. The timer reverses the polarity (direction of electrical current) to the motor to make it reverse directions, if the motor runs in the spin cycle, it should also run in the agitate direction as well. Kelly S September 14, 2018 for Model Number SHU53E05UC/38 Hi, my rise dispenser does not work. When I put the rise detergent in, it must leak out because the light to add more is always on. Any idea what I would need to fix it? Thanks! Kelly Seliga
1 Answer Kelly, If you think the rinse aid is leaking out then you will want to open the door and check to see if there is any in the reservoir which you can do by looking at the back of it. If it is leaking out then the dispenser would need to be replaced and would be part number 00488964. Read More...
Paul January 12, 2017 for Model Number Sgi4335au My Bosch dispenser is not opening. I bought a replacement dispenser and it still doesn't work. Can you tell me at what point in the cycle I should expect to see power going to the wax actuator switch? Not sure how I can measure voltage?
1 Answer Paul, Unfortunately we do not have a timing chart to see when the unit will open the dispenser but should be at the beginning of the main wash. Would want to remove the front panel of the unit and run the unit to test power. Read More...
Bill June 25, 2016 for Model Number shu9906uc I replaced the soap dispenser. the sliding door worked once, then would not close again. Blue lever held solid. Found actuator switch was expanded when there was power on the unit, holding blue latch open. Did this go bad in my new dispenser?
1 Answer Bill, If power is removed from the dispenser actuator and it goes back in then the dispenser is fine and it sounds like the issue could be that it is getting power when it should not be which would be a control board issue. Read More...
Raymond September 19, 2015 for Model Number SHV4313GB/17 Hi I recently asked you a question which you very kindly answered! It was to do with the voltage to the wax actuator switch on my Bosch dishwasher. I have changed the switch and previously when I checked the voltage from the control model I didn't have the machine switched on! Silly me! I checked it again and this is really strange. When I put the the probes(red and black) into the connector i got 94 volts. I then swapped the probes around in the connector I got 130 volts!! I don't understand why I don't get the same voltage no matter which way I put the probes in the connector. The new wax switch still does not operate. Your previous answer was to change the control module which I can obtain here in the U.K. but don't want to change it until I am sure that this will cure the fault! Thanking you in advance. R.C.
1 Answer Raymond, The most likely cause for the dispenser to not work would be a control board issue. Read More...
Raymond September 14, 2015 for Model Number SHV4313GB/17 The wax switch that operates the soap dispenser is not getting 120 volts so the switch does not operate. I checked the cabling to the switch and it is only getting 11.3 volts I have replaced the switch.
1 Answer Raymond, If you are not getting 120 vac to the wax motor then the issue will be in the control module for this unit. The part number for the control module will be 264882. Read More...
