Julie July 28, 2015 for Model Number SHV5703UC/46 Bosch Dishwasher. Runs for hours and drain is continuously on when on/off is pressed. Ran diagnostics and received codes PO and c1 and E3(when quick wash button was pressed) Bosch rep stated that drain will remain continuously on when aquasensor senses water in bottom pan. I took toe kick off and gently placed finger in pan and there is water. Bosch servicer not available for 3 weeks. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Julie, This is normally caused by a failing water inlet valve. If you remove the kickpanel and remove the water valve, you can use a towel that has not been washed with fabric softener to "wick" the water out of the base. Replace the water valve and the issue is normally corrected. The water valve part number is 00607335 if the model number is actually SHV57C03UC/46. Read More...
Sean June 15, 2015 for Model Number SHU33A06 UC/14 (FD 8211-) I have a dishwasher that will run for several hours. 4 to 6 hours on the normal wash cycle.
1 Answer Hello Sean, This is most likely a water temperature issue. You will need to verify the fill water is up to 120°F to ensure proper operation. Cooler water takes longer to heat and will prolong the normal cycle time. Read More...
George April 04, 2015 for Model Number SPV50E00EU/8 Hi, I have this bosch dishwasher and used a detergent for hand wash. After some minutes foam and water started coming out of the dishwasher's front door. I opened the door only to find out that half of the inside was filled with foam. I removed the foam but aqua sensor indicator keeps blinking and dishwashers tries to empty the water but that's all. It constantly did this for 5 hours no matter what I have tried (cleaned filters, pressed the reset button, even shut the power off), but it keeps blinking and trying to empty water even when there is no water in it. I read the user manual and there is a chance that water entered the safety system. Any ideas of what I can do?
1 Answer George, You will need to pull the unit out and clean out the fill parts located on the left side of the unit. Once this is done you will then need to use a table spoon of vegetable oil poured into the bottom of the dishwasher tub and turn the unit on for a cycle and let it run through a complete cycle. Kathy March 02, 2015 for Model Number not sure but bosch aquasensor is not about 15 years old Cycle runs normally but water doesn't drain out.
1 Answer Hello Kathy. Check and make sure nothing is clogged. If not, you will need to see if there is power coming to the drain pump. If so, you will need to order and replace the drain pump on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Steve December 21, 2014 for Model Number SHU5312UC11 I just replaced the water fill valve - BSH 00425458 (as suggested in your previous response to my problem) and the machine still displays a "1" at the end and never shuts off. Any other thoughts?
1 Answer Hello Steve, If the water valve was at fault there will be some water in the base of the unit and the flood switch will be activated. This basically tells the control there is a water leak and all the unit will do is try to drain until the water in the base is emptied. I always use the corner of a towel that has not been washed with fabric softener, (since the softener will repel water instead of soaking it up). The easiest way to clear this water is by removing the water valve and fishing the towel into the bottom of the base through this opening. Be careful not to damage the Styrofoam float in the bottom. When the water in the base is removed the unit should resume normal operation. Read More...
Steve December 17, 2014 for Model Number SHU5312 UC/11 The dishwasher runs and washes normally but continues running while displaying a "1". I replaced the Heater relay to no avail. Followed a procedure to measure resistance on the Aqua Sensor and find it reads less than 1ohm. The Manual indicates that it should read about 1 Meg ohm. Pulled the sensor and got the same resistance. Do you think that is causing the continuous running and display of "1" or do I have problems. All other resistance measurements seem to be ok. Thank you
1 Answer Hello Steve, This is normally cause by a water valve not opening all the way which in turn causes the water to drizzle out of a port hole into the main base, floating the flood switch. This causes the drain pump to run constantly and in some cases, (depending o the wiring configuration), even with the door opened. Removing the kick panel and moving the red flood switch activating rod will turn it off. Water will be standing in the main base if this is the issue. This water has to be removed with a towel or shop vac, (be careful not to damage the styrofaom float). Replacing the water valve 00425458 and removing the standing water in the main base corrects the issue. Read More...
Dirty Dishes October 09, 2014 for Model Number BOSCH SHE4AM05UC / 03 My Bosch dishwasher's clean light is coming on and the cycle is stopping well before the dishes are actually clean. I've checked drainage and cleaned all filters, but it still is acting up.
1 Answer Dirty dishes, The issue with the unit shutting off and the clean light coming on before the cycle is complete would be caused by a faulty control module part number 00701523. Read More...
Matt September 07, 2014 for Model Number sms63mo8au/12 I have a Bosch dishwasher and when turned on it starts the drain pump and then another pump starts then the drain pump starts again and then shows up an E24 and check water faults.
1 Answer Hello Matt, (E24) fault code indicates that the waste water hose is blocked or kinked. This can also indicate a clogged filter or failing drain pump. Read More...
Kurt September 06, 2014 for Model Number SHE33M02UC Bosch dishwasher (model SHE33M02UC) has been switching its cycle setting from POWER SCRUB to RINSE AND HOLD unexpectedly. I have not had any drainage issues, and there does not appear to be a pattern. Sometimes it switches instantly, sometimes 5 minutes, and sometimes it stays on POWER SCRUB for the whole cycle. Do you have any suggestions?
1 Answer Kurt, With the unit switching cycles on its own would be caused most likely by the control module. Read More...
Mike August 23, 2013 for Model Number Bosch shu4322 Dishwasher The dishwasher works but the timer goes to 1 and stays till you turn off. Replaced the control module and still goes to 1 and stays. Upon running diagnostics I get a 3 which is aqua sensor and heating fault. Water did seem to get hot though and sometimes the tablet would not fall out.
1 Answer Mike, You will need to check under the unit and check to make sure that there is no water in the base plate. If there is then this would be the cause. If water is in the baseplate then the flood switch is seeing this and causing the drain to continue to run until the water is sensed not being there. Read More...
