For Bosch Control Module (Part Number: OEM8408619)

Hello Steve. 00266746 is the correct module. The manufacturer does not say if this model needs the jumper. It should have the jumper on the old board if it is needed.

Caroline, The 1 minute in the display usually indicates and issue in the water heating circuit. It is usually due to a failed relay on the control board 00266746 in the door panel. But could also be due to an open heater element or thermostat in the heater assembly.

My 1998 Bosch dishwasher starts off any cycle with the 2H error signal then jumps down to 99 and counts back from there. At 1 it keeps on running and never stops running until I press the cancel/drain combo.[ it drains well and all filters are clean] If I don't catch it right away and it runs a long time, I open the door to find very sudsy water at the bottom which I assume is the rinse agent being washed out and repeatedly recycled as this happens even if the dishwasher is run empty with no detergent. I just detected that the water is not getting heated hotter than our very hot tap water. Also every time the door is opened then closed mid cycle and the start button repressed the timer jumps back to 99, 84, or 51 depending on below which of those three numbers the cycle was when the door was opened. I tried to run the test cycle but couldn't get it to respond. The control module was replaced in 2008. Is this the problem again or is it the heating apparatus? Thanks.

Marian, The 2H error is a heater error. You will want to check the heater and thermostat to make sure that they are good and check to make sure that the control board is sending power to the heater. You will also want to check the wire harness that goes from under the unit at the bend where it goes into the door. There may be a broken wire in that area that would cause this issue as well.

David for Model Number SHU5315UC/U06 FD7901

When I start the washer 2H appears in the time display when it first starts. After a few minutes the time will appear and go thru it's normal count down as it washes. When it reaches 1 it continues to run. If I stop and restart it the cycle timer returns to 13 and continues as above. When I use the Scrub Wash/Delicate method to reset the washer, it does drain and stops. Water is hot and there are no leaks. Also, the control buttons are sometimes unresponsive. Is this a control module issue and if so should I also replace the wiring harness, etc?

1 Answer

Hello David. Make sure there is no water in the base of the unit from a leak. If not, you will need to replace the control module on the unit.

Dan, This may be "normal" "2H –Last wash cycle too long (> 99 minutes). Can be cold inlet water or heating system fault (heater, Hi-Limit, flow switch, NTC, control module heater relay)." Make sure the water temperature in the tub on the first fill is at least 120 dgrs. at the start of the cycle. The control will display 2H whenever, the cycle takes or took more than 99 minutes.

Ed, You would want to test the heater circuit as this issue would most likely be caused by a faulty heater circuit. Most likely the heater circuit has failed which would cause this issue. The heater part number is 00263869.

Hello James. Someone had to apply power to the ground wires and this caused a direct short and melted the wires in the unit. You will need to repair the short and see if any other parts were damaged on the unit as well.

Hello Buddy. Check and make sure the unit is heating properly and make sure the float is working properly in the unit. If the heater and float are good, then it sounds like the control module will need to be replaced on the unit.

Hello Roland. Look for a leak under the unit causing the float to be up. If so, it will cause the issue you are having with the unit.
