Confused August 03, 2013 for Model Number SHU 6802UC/12 The soap dispenser is not releasing all the soap. Door seems to be only opening partially during the cycle. I have cleaned. What is the cause and the solution?
1 Answer Hello Confused, The issue will either be an insufficient water fill or lack of water circulation. If the door opens at all, the detergent will be properly dispersed from the water circulation. Check for a proper water fill and for proper water circulation. When the unit is operating properly, about the only sound you can hear is the water spray inside the unit. If you cannot hear the water spraying, you should remove the screens at the bottom of the unit and check for any that might have become clogged. Most of the time, replacing the water inlet valve corrects this complaint, but you should at least check the screens as this can save you the trouble and expense of the replacement part if the filters turn out to be the issue. 1 Answer Hi. Remove the outer door panel and the clock control cover. Use a volt/ohm meter part # MA-DM1 to assist you in your diagnostics. Find the 2- yellow wires in the center in between the Gry/Bk and the Wht. Measure the resistance of the dispenser actuator motor value of 2150 ohms. (+ or - 10%). If you do not have the value then trace the wires from the control panel to the dispenser for opens, shorts, or bad connectors. If it has the measurement then you need to see if you have the 120 vac going to the wax motor during the dispensed cycle time. Make sure the wiring connections are clean and tight. Use a pick tool to help release the inner connector tabs. Make sure there are no rack blockages so the dispenser. Door does not open properly. Thank you. Read More...
