Scott September 13, 2020 for Model Number SHX68T55UC I am have a drain problem with the Bosch 44dba. I checked all lines for debris (no issue) and pulled the drain pump. I checked the resistance - 80 Ohms. Is this normal? I cannot find any info on specs for the motor. I have not yet tried to apply power directly, as I want to avoid electrocution. Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Scott, the manufacturer has supplied no test information on the drain pump.00620774 , it appears to be of the BLDC type of motor in which case an ohm value does not apply. Read More...
Ex Wrestler August 03, 2020 for Model Number Bosch Dishwasher #SHE45M06UC/48, Drain pump #0064229 My Bosch SHE45M06UC/48 is making a grinding noise. I took the dishwasher apart and checked the circulating pump. The impeller moves smoothly and is intact and is firmly affixed to the motor shaft, so I think the circulating pump is fine. I checked the solenoid inlet valve for continuity (it was good) and mechanically (also good). I think the problem is with the drain pump but I'm only 80% sure. when I spin the impeller manually it feels like it has a detent and springs forward when spun every 180 degrees. It does not spin smoothly like the circulating pump. I plugged the drain pump into a cord I made with a standard 120V AC plug on one end, and female 1/4" spade clips on the other. The impeller would spin but seemed loud. Is the "detent" like the movement of the impeller indicative of a problem or is that the way it's supposed to be? Does the impeller on a new part #00642293 drain pump spin smoothly? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Ex, The "detent" as you called it is a characteristic of the magnetic fields of the type of motor in the pump. You should open the unit and use a wet vac to remove any possible glass shards, bones, or other foreign material that are common in dishwashers. These pumps give so many problems, if there are no clogs in the drain line, I would replace the drain pump 00642239. Read More...
Carrie May 20, 2020 for Model Number SHE44C02UC/22 My dishwasher began to make loud, almost grinding noises and I could smell an odor like burning plastic or rubber. The wash cycle works fine and then it starts to drain at the 75-minute mark (using the Powerwash setting) making this awful noise and smell. It continues to do this and the timer goes up in time, not down. I suspect it's the pump but not sure. I opened the door, removed the lower dish rack, the filters, and cleaned them both. I checked for anything stuck in the bottom, nothing. I then turned the washer on with the door open and it began making the same noise and a very small amount of water was coming out of an opening on the top of the pump. I ran a diagnostic on it and it gave me an E1 code. Does this mean that I need a repairman or can I fix it myself? I have had this dishwasher for 15 years and never had an issue until last night. This is a testament to the high quality of Bosch appliances.
1 Answer Hello Carrie, The E-1 error indicates an issue with a relay on the control module 00676960. Verify nothing is in the impellers of either pump and replace the control module. This should take care of the problem. Read More...
Fred March 01, 2020 for Model Number SHU9915UC/U11 I'm installing a new drain pump. The new pump has 2 terminals and my old pump has 4. Where do I hook up the 3 wires? I have 2 grey wires with red stripe under1 clip, and 1 white wire with purple stripe under 1 clip, plus 1 green wire with yellow stripe under 1 clip. How do I hook these up to the two posts on the new pump?
1 Answer Fred, The Grey wires and the white with purple stripe are your Neutral and L1 supply and can go to either terminal. The green wire you will just find a location under the unit and attach it to metal under the unit as it is the ground wire and they did not put a ground on this pump. Read More...
Jim February 04, 2020 for Model Number SGE53U55UC Dishwasher always drains completely, but I get the E24 error. Sometimes it has no error on Normal cycle, but always on Auto. There was an obstruction the first time this error appeared, but it is clear now, and there is never water left, even after the error. I have replaced the drain pump and the control board, but it has made no difference. The error usually occurs after the final rinse.
1 Answer Jim, Check the float switch on the unit to make sure that it is working properly and check to make sure that the float is not sticking in the up position. If this checks ok then the issue sounds likely that the main control board is faulty and would need to be replaced if you replaced the board in the door. Read More...
Thomas December 21, 2019 for Model Number SHE66C05UC/22 I just put in a new drain pump after checking to see if any hoses were plugged and if filters were clean. Everything is clean but the unit still doesn't drain. I read that the hose needs to be 20 inches above dishwasher floor. Does that have any impact? Is there a possible air lock? I don't see any pinches.
1 Answer Thomas, The drain pump needs 120 VAC to operate. It gets its voltage from the main control board. Test to see if you are getting voltage when it should be draining. Unfortunately, the control board is not available any longer. Read More...
Tom December 18, 2019 for Model Number SHE68M05UC/47 Bosch I can’t find a drain pump or part number for it. Do you have it?
Frank August 13, 2019 for Model Number shp65t56uc/07 I cannot clear the E24 code. I have tried all recommended troubleshooting found. I have checked, removed and cleaned all drain pipes on the unit and my actual drain. I took out the pump and put power to it and it works. The pumps reads 130k ohms though. Is it shot? Is it a valve or a sensor? It will not drain. Please help.
1 Answer Hello Frank, the drain pump replacement part is 00631200, if you have checked/cleared any obstructions and still not draining and still get code then replace the drain pump, the control board monitors the current draw of the drain motor winding when its powered. Read More...
