For Bosch Dishwasher Door Lock Assembly (Part Number: OEM20392026)

Exengprof for Model Number SHP65T55UC/07

Latch replace versus raising machine slightly. For the issue where the door latch springs into the closed position while door is open, some report adding some downward pressure to the door lock either by raising the machine slightly (causing countertop to push down on latch slightly) or adding a small wedge fixes the issue. Others report replacing the latch assembly (door side and body side). What is experience of this group? Does the latch have a wear issue over long-term use? Or is the latch functional, but a slight dishwasher frame deflection causes the latch to be in a locked position with the door open? Thanks.

Exengprof, the door lock 10008141 will fail over time. In a case like this, it could be from the spring losing strength, the door hinges bending, a bend in the door frame where the latch is located, screws loose in the latch or lock, etc. Inspecting for these potential causes of the issue would be the best way to properly correct the failure.

Phillip for Model Number SHP65T55UC/02

Dishwasher does not start. The control panel lights flash and I hear a soft intermittent hum (of a motor?). The red LED light does not appear on the floor. I sometimes/usually hear a loud click like the door is the door is latched. I tried disconnecting power to the unit (circuit breaker) for a few minutes and restarting... but same problem. No error codes appeared. Slight amount of water remmains in drain tub. How can/should I diagnose true cause of fault (ie, switch, motor, control panel, ???). Thanks for any help!

Phillip, Check your filter to make sure that is not clogged up and check to ensure that there is the proper amount of water getting into the unit. If this is good then test to make sure that the pump is getting 120 vac to it. If it is not then this will be a faulty control board.

Matt, The door latch will be on the exterior on top of the unit. You will have to uninstall the appliance and pull it out to access the latch.

Charlie, the customer service test would have to be operated to clear the error code. However, if the controls were replaced after the door lock assembly 10008141, the failure would likely be in the wire harness 12014146 having a broken section in the door sensor circuit.

Jerry, the door seal 12054183 may need to be inspected to identify if there is any debris building up or tears, as well as checking to make sure there are no items pushing on the door from the inside of the tub. The door lock and latch 10008141 would also need to be inspected for loose screws or broken mountings.

Brian for Model Number SHE53T56UC/02

My Bosch (SHE53T56UC/02) dishwasher just developed a symptom of stopping after a few minutes into the cycle. The time remaining on the main console then starts blinking. If I hit the Start button it will continue for another few minutes then stop and start blinking again. This will continue throughout the cycle if I keep pressing Start. Finally, the cycle will end, drain, and the clean light comes on. It appears to drain properly and will reset. All the touchpad areas work. I can change the cycle, etc. There was a very small leak from the left front area. I replaced the lower door seal (bought from Appliance Parts Pros). This stopped the leak but the stopping and timer blinking continued. I am considering replacing the Door Lock Assembly. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Brian, Thanks for the question!!! It is recommended to locate your tech sheet and check for error codes before replacing any other parts.
