Vaik January 25, 2025 for Model Number pd484gg How to remove and replace control board of an Thermador oven. Combo unit, larger oven not working.
1 Answer Hello Vaik, thank you for contacting Appliance Parts Pros. I would recommend taking pictures as you go along, for reference when putting everything back together. After unplugging the oven or turning it off at the breaker you will need to remove the grates, trim, and burner support rails, as well as the burner caps and venturi tubes. Then slowly lift the burner base to access the component under the main top and disconnect the igniter wires. If the burner support rail is in the way of getting to the larger oven control, then it will need to be removed by 1st disconnecting the gas tubes from the jet holder assemblies, then disconnect the other end of the gas tubes from the gas valves. After that, each igniter wire will need to be pushed down through its receptacle in the burner support rail. Push the burner support rail to 1 side with a large flathead screwdriver until the 2 prongs come out of the slots in the chassis, then the rail should come out. Remove the control board shield and you should have access to the control. Disconnect each of the connectors from the control. Use needle nose pliers to disengage the board from all the plastic standoffs by lightly pressing the protruding clip on each while pulling the board off of the standoff. This should have the control board removed from the unit. Read More...
Tom Oreilly August 21, 2023 for Model Number Bosch HBL8750/UC12 Hi I an getting the 115 error code for overheating. Sensor tested and good so pulled out oven/microwave and opened side access panel. How is the control panel mounted as I have a limited view from the side. And can you tell me the part number I should order? Thank you
1 Answer Tom, This would be a control board issue part number 12022212. To access the control board you will need to pull the unit out from the wall approximately 16 inches and they go in from the top. There will be an access panel that you will remove to get to the control board. Read More...
Bill June 05, 2023 for Model Number HBL8450UC/10 My oven will not heat properly. It won't reach the requested temp in bake setting, and fluctuates up and down. Convection seems to get hotter but also unreliable. Trying to determine if this is a control board or heating element issue. Broil element seems to work fine but I cant see the bottom element. I get no codes from the main display and the panel seems to work as normal. thanks
1 Answer Bill, The first thing you will want to do is to check to make sure that the oven sensor is good. Test the sensor for a resistance of 1090 ohms at room temperature and 1654 ohms at 350. If the resistance check is good then you will want to replace the control board as the element is coming on and working. Read More...
Soroush January 18, 2022 for Model Number HBL5450UC/06 Hi, I have a HBL5450UC/06 that randomly keeps resetting the clock/date. Everything else works fine but I constantly have to set the time/date. It became more frequent and now it is almost daily. No error messages. I have checked/cleaned all connection on top of the oven. The wires going to the terminal box are tight as well. Is there anything else I should be checking before replacing parts? If not, is it the control board that is at fault (12022212) or the control relay board (00663802)? Thanks
1 Answer Soroush, Check to make sure that you are not having power surges throughout the day. If you are not then this will most likely be with the control board 12022212. Read More...
Mitchell October 24, 2021 for Model Number Thermador C301US After cooking, oven is turned off and goes back on on its own. On one occasion, timer stopped after a few seconds and froze. What boards & pert numbers?
1 Answer Mitchell, this failure can be caused by a stuck keypad 00143006 or by a failed main control 00494781. Unfortunately, both parts have been discontinued by the manufacturer and are no longer available. Read More...
Sly September 07, 2021 for Model Number HBL5450UC/08 Whenever I go to program the time and date and before I'm finished programing the screen goes blank and 4 small bars show up on the top left corner for couple seconds and then it starts all over again asking me to go threw the setup/programing and if I press info then the 4 bars show up on the top left and makes you go threw the same setup again, it doesn't want to hold the program, do I replace the main control board or the control panel?
1 Answer Sly, Thanks for the question!!! The main control module is the part that holds the program. Your model calls for part# 12022212. Read More...
Eric March 16, 2021 for Model Number HBN5450UC/07 Hello: The Bosch wall oven is pulling an E115 code and it is likely the relay on the control board causing the problem. Is that correct? Or should I test the sensor first? The site says that the board 12022212 replaces the one in my oven 00659614. Is this a really improved design as I have already replaced this board 5 years ago? Are the components any better designed in this version of the board. Thanks Eric
1 Answer Hello Eric, the temperature sensor is working correctly, otherwise, there would not be an oven temperature code (E115) the control board is showing, the overheat condition is caused by an oven element relay on the board 12022212 sticking closed, the manufacturer may sub the original board to a different part number due to various reasons that include pricing, a different board vendor, updated design, etc. Read More...
Jane November 25, 2020 for Model Number HBL8750UC/11 My display is inoperable (stuck on Setup Menu) and I think you're saying it is the Display Module (Control Panel) that needs replacing. I don't think that part is available anymore so does that mean I have to dispose of my wall ovens or could there be another solution?
1 Answer Jane, Unfortunately, the display module has been discontinued as no suitable replacement available. There is a company called Corecentricsolutions.com that may be able to rebuild the display for you. Read More...
Kirk November 17, 2020 for Model Number Bosch HBL5450UC/08 Hi I have a Bosch HBL5450UC/08 built in wall oven that no matter what setting you use to turn it on it always goes to broil. How can i tell if the control module # AP633430 (i think this is correct part #) went bad or if it is a relay? Do you also have any videos to change out? Thanks, Kirk
1 Answer Hello Kirk, if you select a bake cycle and the display shows broil instead then replace the display/user interface board 00703859, if however the display shows a bake cycle selection correctly but the broil element comes on full then there is a sticking relay on the main control board 12022212. Bob September 13, 2019 for Model Number HBL5450uc/??? I dont have a complete model #, I need the control board. I have the board in my hand, can you come up with the correct replacement board using the info on the ID sticker on the board?
1 Answer Bob, as ID stickers on the control could be manufacturer batch numbers, the most accurate way to identify which part is needed would be by using the full model number. The full model number would be needed as this can indicate what series the model falls under. Read More...
