Hello Jerry, the simmer control for the model number supplied was 00422882. Unfortunately the manufacturer has discontinued the part and they did not supply a suitable replacement to take it's place. Sorry!

Susan for Model Number PRSG364GLS

All four burners keep sparking endlessly and only stop when I unplug the stove. The Thermador technician said I need to replace the Simmer Control Kit 00497234, which is unavailable (I have searched EVERYwhere online). When the stove is unplugged, I only have use of the 2 right burners. I don't mind lighting them manually, so my question is whether there is any way to work around the unavailable simmer controller and restore gas flow to the two left simmer burners so that I can light them manually. Would replacing the two potentiometers (which ARE available) allow the gas to flow even if the simmer controller is not replaced? And if not, how can I at least get my oven working again? Can I disable the faulty simmer controller to stop the clicking so that I can again plug in the stove and use the oven?

Susan, The only other way to do this would be to get the simmer control and potentiometers separately but unfortunately the simmer control has been discontinued by the manufacturer with no suitable replacement available. 00422882 simmer control and 00422748 potentiometer.

Chris, This issue will most likely be caused by faulty potentiometers with neither of the left burners working.

Hello Mike, the model number you've listed ending with /13 does not appear valid. We did find a model number ending with /03 and for that model number they use simmer control part number 00645446. Thanks!

Jean, Unfortunately, the manufacturer has discontinued the [00422882] Simmer Control Module. The potentiometers [00422748] are available, but that usually won't solve the issue, either. Before you "just throw my stove away" you may want to try contacting local parts dealers, one of them might still have it in stock. Enter your part number in a search engine, a smaller company might have it ? Try eBay, Amazon or similar sites . Search by using the manufacturer's part number. Try a used appliance store, sometimes they have the same model or useable part for your machine. Contact refurbishing companies, especially for circuit boards: •www.circuitboardmedics.com •www.corecentricsolutions.com/ Sorry, and Good Luck, Thanks,

Ash for Model Number PRSG304/36

My 1998 PRSG304/36 natural gas professional started having problems with the ignitors sparking non-stop. I thoroughly cleaned the entire unit! All seemed fine for a week and then it started doing it again. I turned off the unit at the circuit breaker and then switched it back on. The right burners are fine. The simmer burners don't work right away and take 2 days to come back to life and continually start sparking again. The left front simmer burner flame works well at all levels but it keeps sparking. The rear simmer burner turns on for about 10 seconds with the flame working at all levels, then turns off. If I put it on low simmer it will cut off every 10 seconds or so and re-light, repeating the problem, 10 seconds cuts off and re-lights. The stove and griddle work fine. We use the 2 right burners, knowing that the left burners will start clicking again after about 2 days, so we know it is localized to the simmer burners. I have put new ignitors in and new re-ignitor module and new potentiometers, which could be the problem because I know the potentiometers are meant to be replaced with the simmer control as a kit. What parts do I need to fix this cocktail of issues? The valve heads are clean, the burner heads are clean. Could it be the solenoid? THANKS!

Ash, You will want to make sure that you used the simmer control 00422882 and 2 of the potentiometer part number 00422748. If the correct parts were not used it could cause the issue that you are having with the unit .
