Ash for Model Number PRSG304/36 My 1998 PRSG304/36 natural gas professional started having problems with the ignitors sparking non-stop. I thoroughly cleaned the entire unit! All seemed fine for a week and then it started doing it again. I turned off the unit at the circuit breaker and then switched it back on. The right burners are fine. The simmer burners don't work right away and take 2 days to come back to life and continually start sparking again. The left front simmer burner flame works well at all levels but it keeps sparking. The rear simmer burner turns on for about 10 seconds with the flame working at all levels, then turns off. If I put it on low simmer it will cut off every 10 seconds or so and re-light, repeating the problem, 10 seconds cuts off and re-lights. The stove and griddle work fine. We use the 2 right burners, knowing that the left burners will start clicking again after about 2 days, so we know it is localized to the simmer burners. I have put new ignitors in and new re-ignitor module and new potentiometers, which could be the problem because I know the potentiometers are meant to be replaced with the simmer control as a kit. What parts do I need to fix this cocktail of issues? The valve heads are clean, the burner heads are clean. Could it be the solenoid? THANKS!
Answer Ash, You will want to make sure that you used the simmer control 00422882 and 2 of the potentiometer part number 00422748. If the correct parts were not used it could cause the issue that you are having with the unit . Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, August 25, 2017
