Susan for Model Number PRSG364GLS All four burners keep sparking endlessly and only stop when I unplug the stove. The Thermador technician said I need to replace the Simmer Control Kit 00497234, which is unavailable (I have searched EVERYwhere online). When the stove is unplugged, I only have use of the 2 right burners. I don't mind lighting them manually, so my question is whether there is any way to work around the unavailable simmer controller and restore gas flow to the two left simmer burners so that I can light them manually. Would replacing the two potentiometers (which ARE available) allow the gas to flow even if the simmer controller is not replaced? And if not, how can I at least get my oven working again? Can I disable the faulty simmer controller to stop the clicking so that I can again plug in the stove and use the oven?
Answer Susan, The only other way to do this would be to get the simmer control and potentiometers separately but unfortunately the simmer control has been discontinued by the manufacturer with no suitable replacement available. 00422882 simmer control and 00422748 potentiometer.
