Veronica May 05, 2021 for Model Number shx53tl5uc My dishwasher seems to be overfilling to the point of leaking under the door. I already replaced the seal under the door. Is this the part that is likely responsible for letting too much water into the dishwasher?
1 Answer Veronica, Thanks for the question!!! Yes, the valve could be faulty allowing too much water in. Read More...
Chris April 05, 2021 for Model Number SHP865ZD6N/01 As a landlord I have learned on your site that when a dishwasher isn't filling enough its usually a problem with the fill valve / relay or an obstruction in the water line. So when my Bosch SHP865ZD6N/01 wasn't cleaning well, wasn't dissolving the soap tab, and had a water level below the screen I ordered a new fill valve (in transit). But the Q&A here seems to indicate that the fill valve likely isn't at fault. Can you tell me (us) if Bosch is different and these don't fail in the same way? Or rarely fail? In another Q&A you said it might be the control board - is that the likely solution if not an obstruction? Thanks for everything!
1 Answer Chris, the water inlet valve 10023852 should allow 1/2 gallon of water to pass through for every minute that it is activated. If the valve is producing 1/2 gallon of water after 1 minute (the control may stop filling briefly, then start again) then the failure would likely be in the control module 12026970. If the valve does not allow the proper amount of water to pass through within a collective 1 minute of operation, it has failed and would need to be replaced. Read More...
Sam February 14, 2021 for Model Number shx68t55uc/07 the red light turns on when you start the cycle but turn off within a few seconds giving an E:23 error code. We cleaned out the water inlet housing, the bottom filter, under sink drain pipe, etc. But that did not help. Any other suggestions of what may be wrong?
1 Answer Sam, the error E23 is going to indicate an error with the drain pump 00631200. With the power supply to the dishwasher turned off, the drain pump would need to be tested for resistance. It should measure 88O if the windings are good. If it does test good, the next step would be to remove the drain pump and inspect for any debris that may be stopping the impeller. If there is no debris, then the failure would likely be in the power control module 12009543. Read More...
Tim August 18, 2020 for Model Number SHEM78W55N/10 Bosh Dishwasher Symptom: Not enough water is flowing into the dishwasher, and there is not enough pressure in the spray arms to make them spin. The problem is slowly getting worse. At first, only the top spray arm would not spin. Now, neither spray arm spins. Manually adding half a gallon of water to the dishwasher is an effective work around, but it requires timing the cycle properly. Presumably, this indicates that the pump is working. The water supply line is not kinked. This symptoms remain whether or not the dishwasher is loaded. The spray arms (00745856, 00744883) are not clogged. The water inlet system (00744882) is in good shape. The water inlet valve (00628334) was already replaced, but this had no effect on the symptoms.
1 Answer Tim, check to see if the water is draining out at it comes in, there could be a drain installation issue. Otherwise, I am leaning towards replacing the control as the fill time has gone out somehow. The control part number is 12016881. Read More...
Mark July 09, 2020 for Model Number SHEM63W55N/01 The dishwasher leaks when not running on the left front bottom. Is it the water inlet valve? If so, is the valve universal for different types of models?
W.A.T. May 08, 2019 for Model Number SHXM65W55N I'm looking for instructions on how to replace the water inlet valve. The videos I have found have the valve located in the front of the Bosch dishwasher. The water inlet valve on our dishwasher is in the back. Any information is greatly appreciated.
1 Answer Hello W.A.T., You will need to turn the power and water supply off to the unit and pull it from its' installed position to access the rear of the unit. Disconnect the water line and the support to access the valve. Disconnect the wire harness and water tube and install the new valve in the reverse order. Read More...
