Hi Michelle. The best thing to do is to keep the circuit breaker turned off. Remove the control panel and investigate if the switch body broke and shorted out there physically. This should only be the part you need other than to properly insure the shorted wires are Ok to use again. If The switch is on the far right, it is part # 316441804. If It is any of the other three it is part # 316441801. Thank you.

I have a Frigidaire range model ples389ecb. Things were fine, until wife noticed that the panel was not on. Checked the breaker which was fine. If the breaker is tripped the unit comes back on and panel lights up but goes off. I checked the little red button resets on back and near right side burner knob on front and they are fine. I do hear the beeper module on the board making a chirp sound and when you open the door the lights will flash on off at times. The range top works fine. Do I need a control panel?

Hello Tim! If you have have checked your units thermal cut-off switches, then it is likely the control board has failed. That is part 316418735. I hope this info helps.

Nathan for Model Number ples389ece

I had an unfortunate accident and my first burner shorted out. I wired passed it and the everything worked great except that burner. however, 2 months later I attempted to run the clean cycle it popped a F20 Error. Ever since the oven doesn't work. I turn it on and it runs for bout 20 seconds, and it seems that as soon as the top burner would be kicking on it pops an F20 error again and I have to reset the power to get anything to function. I took it apart and tested it and found that when the code pops the relay for the "bake" wire throws a small spark (I can only see it inside of the reley(It doesnt arc to anything else)) Anyway I wanted a second opinion before i bought a new control board.

Hello Nathan. You will need to replace the control board if the relay is sparking. F-20 is a control board error. Also you need to repair the burner that you bypassed. Hope this helps.

Hello Carol. An F90 error code on your range means Maximum oven door unlock time exceeded. Here are some steps to try to determine what is causing the code. 1. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Check the wiring between Electronic Control & Lock Motor Micro Switch. 2. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Replace the Motor Door Latch assembly if necessary. 3. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Check for binding of the Latch Cam, Lock Motor Rod & Lock Motor Cam. 4. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Check to see if Lock Motor Coil is open. If open, replace Lock Motor Assembly. 5. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Lock Motor continuously runs - if Micro Switch is open, replace Lock Motor Assembly. 6. If all situations above do not solve problem, replace Electronic Control. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Hello Matt. A F13 code on your model typically means that the electronic control is faulty. One thing you can try is Disconnect power, wait 30 seconds and reapply power. If fault returns upon power-up, replace the electronic control. Hope this helps.
