Rick February 16, 2020 for Model Number Frigidaire PLEF398DCC one of my burners will not turn off with the control knob. I have another burner that partially heats up.
1 Answer Hello Rick, the surface burner elements are individually controlled thru relays on the relay board, the relays are failing, the board is part 316426501. Read More...
David W January 05, 2018 for Model Number PLEF398DCB Set temperature, bake time, when pushed start an arching sound came from the area of the EOC board. Stove did not heat. No faults on the EOC board. Tried broil function on the EOC board and broil did not function. Suspect bad EOC board, do not have enough information to do complete troubleshoot.
1 Answer David, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty control board 316418700 with both broil and bake not working. Read More...
Lisa March 11, 2017 for Model Number PLEFZ398ECF Oven is showing F13, the oven control panel has a burned spot between two relays. Will this be the issue with the oven control and need to have replaced or the User interface board. The burned spot is on the part 316418700 but the trouble shooting we have shows the interface board. I want to order the correct part. The oven will not turn on at all.
1 Answer Lisa, Based on the error code and your description you'll need to replace the EOC/Clock 316418700, " F13 > Bad EEPROM Identification / Checksum error. > If fault returns upon power-up, replace EOC." you may find it best/easiest to replace the clock overlay 316419700, they have a tendency to wrinkle and crease when you transfer them from the original clock to the replacement clock. Both parts are in stock and available at this time. Thanks, Read More...
Ty December 15, 2016 for Model Number 316418700 Turned on oven and saw a spark. Oven no longer get hot or works. The stove still works and the timer. Trying to see what needs to be replaced. Is it the oven control board or something else? Thank You
1 Answer Hello Ty, I'm sorry but we will need to ask you to post a new question including the model number from your units' I.D. tag so we can recommend parts that can be guaranteed to work properly on your unit. We will also need it to pull technical information, (wiring diagram), so we can see what is in the circuit on your model since this varies with the design. It would also be helpful to know about what general area where you saw the spark, (control area, bake compartment, etc.). Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...

Robinn June 30, 2015 for Model Number PLEFZ398ECF My oven displays a F10 error code. What does that mean and which part needs to be replaced?
1 Answer Hello Robinn. 1. (F10 only) Check RTD Sensor Probe & replace if necessary. If oven is overheating, disconnect power. If oven continues to overheat when the power is reapplied, replace EOC. Severe overheating may require the entire oven to be replaced should damage be extensive. Read More...
J.J.D. January 18, 2015 for Model Number GLEF378ASE The bracket used to hold the clock is broke on one side. I don't need the entire electronics just the bracket. Can that be ordered? I don't want to have to pay $224.00 for it.
1 Answer Hello J.J.D., I'm sorry but the mounting bracket is only available with the complete clock assembly. This is how the manufacturer made the parts available and we unfortunately have no control over it. Read More...
Darrell December 08, 2014 for Model Number Cplef398dcd The new control panel I bought from a repair shop mod# 316418700 does not have a "conv element" terminal, labelled p9 on it where my old one does. I have an extra wire because of this. The part numbers match new to old and so am not sure how to proceed.
1 Answer Darrell, Based on the wiring diagram for your unit, the convection terminal was not in use. The convection would go through the white connector at pin number 7 and the other wire would go to the neutral on the terminal block. Read More...
John H. February 11, 2014 for Model Number Frigidaire PLEFMZ99EC We were baking in the oven and heard a loud noise and saw flames in the oven. The circuit breaker that feeds the oven tripped and the flames extinguished. The baking element was damaged, so we replaced it with a new element. Now, when we turn on the oven to bake (or broil or use the warming drawer), we hear a buzzing noise from behind the controls area. Should we replace the control panel? Is there a way to verify that is the problem?
1 Answer John, according to the information provided you'll need to replace the clock/timer. Your model uses part number 316418704. Thanks! Read More...
Craig W. December 19, 2013 for Model Number 316418700 Control panel not working, only thing working is the oven light and I am getting the PF error code. Does the control panel need to be replaced on my Frigidare oven?
1 Answer Craig, Without a model number it's a bit difficult, and we can only recommend general checks. As for the PF error code, you will need to check the connections at the terminal block. Make sure the connections for the power are not loose or damaged and that both the breakers are set and locked in place. If the power supply is proper, then check the touchpad / membrane if equipped, then the ERC/Clock. If you could get a model number we can be more exact and precise and advise you better. Read More...
