For Frigidaire Refrigerator Water Filter (Part Number: OEM13702482)

Rose, if the water dispenser is dispensing a very small stream of water, it is likely that the water filter EDR6D1 may need to be replaced. If the filter has recently been replaced, the inlet tube at the icemaker would need to be inspected for any ice build-up. If there is ice, it would need to be cleared and the valve WP2188808 would need to be replaced.

Jose, The ice maker may not be cycling. Pull the fingers towards the right and make the ice maker cycle to see if it fills. If you manually cycle the unit and it completes a cycle then replace the ice maker.

Kim, these filters can be difficult to install depending on pressure. There could even be a potential issue with the locking mechanism. If the model could be provided in a new inquiry, this will allow for the most accurate information to be presented.

Hello Michelle, the filter is rated for up to 200 gallons or every 6 months, depending on what comes first. If your water is full of a lot of minerals, you could use a water softener to try to help with minerals. Hope this helps!

Hello Shirley, remove the filter by pushing on the end/face of the filter and slide out the old water filter cartridge straight out. Thanks!

Iwant, It is possible that your water supply to the refrigerator might need an inline filter before the water reaches the refrigerator. You can always have the water tested by taking some to the local water company and ask for advice depending upon the results.

Andrea

I am not a very happy customer. I purchased this water filter: frigidaire water filter puresource wf3cb this filter worked great. I primed it prior to use. Turned up the temp on my freezer a notch. I have a digital number on my freezer/refrigerator. I had my setting on number 4. I turned it up to number 5. The next morning i tried to get a cup of water out of my dispenser. Nothing!!! I paid $45 for this filter! Now it is cracked and useless!!! I want to be refunded! This product needs to be recalled. It is inefficient!!!!

Andrea, The filter normally would not crack like this unless the refrigerator section is too cold. You will want to check to make sure that the refrigerator internal temp is between 36 and 39 degrees and if it is below 32 then there would be another issue with the refrigerator such as a stuck damper, thermistor that is not good, control board not reading thermistor properly. Also when you turned the freezer to 5 from 4 you were making the freezer colder. Also you would need to contact customer service at 877-477-7278 for order related issues.
