Linda November 01, 2013 for Model Number FEF366CSF My top burners work fine, but the electronic control panel to operate the oven does not even come on..it blew out. What control panel(parts #) do I need for my range? Model # FEF366CSF Serial # VF41838905 Thanks
1 Answer Hello Linda. If there is power to it, and it does not come on, you will need to order 316207511 and 316220804. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Tye September 29, 2013 for Model Number Kenmore 790.9612340A I purchased the surface element that was identified for my stove from you guys. It came in and looks nothing like the original one. My question is, can someone provide me with wiring instructions to the new element switch from my kenmore. The existing wires are orange, red, purple and black/red. Thank you for your help. Tye

Michael P June 26, 2013 for Model Number ffef3018lq The heating element for the right rear burner is not working. How do I change the element and how do I determine if it is the switch or element?
1 Answer Hello Michael, You can remove the element by removing 2 or 3 screws under the main top in the door opening. This will allow you to lift the main top to access the burners. To test to see if it is the element 318178110 or switch, you can pull the unit out and remove the rear cover, test with the element turned on from H1 to H2 on the switch and see if there is 240 vac. If there is then the element would most likely be the issue and if not then the switch 316436000 is faulty and would need to be replaced. Read More...

Stacy December 22, 2012 for Model Number FEF369CGSD The right front burner on my range stopped working. What do I replace to fix the problem?
1 Answer Hello Stacy, You can do a voltage check on the switch to make sure that you are getting power going to the element and make sure switch is working. With unit on you should have 240vac across h1 to h2 on the switch. If you do not have this then the switch 316436000 is bad. If you do have power then the element 318178110 would be bad. Read More...
Joe H December 09, 2012 for Model Number FEFL67hch The "element on" light will not go off although all elements are off. There was a wiring issue with the front left element, I have repaired the broken wire, but the light will not go off.
1 Answer Hello Joe, You will want to access the switches on unit. Remove the wire from terminal P on all but one switch. Reconnect power. If the indicator glows then that switch is defective and needs to be replaced. If it does not glow the switch is good. Do this for all the switches. You may want to start with the switch for the front left since this is the element you had trouble with. Read More...
