Janet April 26, 2015 for Model Number Frigidaire FFEF3048LSA When the large element was turned on, it made clicking/popping noises and didn't seem to heat up all they way. We had just moved into the house so called an electrician under warranty. He said the switches go bad constantly on the larger burners. Sure enough, about a year later and same problem. We're going to replace the switch ourselves this time since I now know how. Is it true that we'll be doing this often or might there be something with the element itself?
1 Answer Janet, While it is possible that the element switch could go out it is not a common issue. You would want to check the element to make sure that there is no issue with the element. Read More...
Karen V March 07, 2015 for Model Number 790.94369700 My front two big burners are not working right. So I bought new burners but that didn't solve the problem either. Still not getting red or hot. Any suggestions?

Redbird69 September 27, 2014 for Model Number KGSA906PSS00 When I turn on the oven the large stove ignitor sparks. Neither the bake or broil ignitor glow. I just replaced a 9759243 thermostat that blew during self clean. Stove burners work fine.
1 Answer Redbird69, You will want to check the gas valve to ensure that the resistance from Common to bake and common to broil is 216 ohms. If not then the gas valve WP9763716 is faulty and would need to be replaced. The other thing that could cause the issue would be a faulty spark module WPW10331686. Read More...
Veronica September 23, 2014 for Model Number FEF366DCE 2 front burners keep overheating...I set the knob on medium heat and the actual burner turns red non stop, what could be my main problem?
1 Answer Veronica, In most cases the reason for the element to get red hot without shutting off would be a problem with the limiter on the element. This would require the element to be changed as the limiter is not a available separate part. Read More...
Rob August 01, 2014 for Model Number 790-95379893 Surface top switch needs to be replaced. I see two listed for this product, which one do I need?

George March 24, 2014 for Model Number Frigidaire FEF355ASJ My top left Red indicator Lamp stays on, when both left elements Switches are in the off position, Both left and right elements work OK. I recently had a short in the back area close to the left switches, How can I check the switches to see if they got damaged?
1 Answer Hello George. You will test for power coming from the "P" terminals of the switch when the switch is off. Then replace the one that is sending power to the light. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Ed February 24, 2014 for Model Number EFE379ACB I have Frigidaire stove model efe379acb that the bottom element wont turn off.
1 Answer Ed, Most likely with there being power supplied to the bottom element all the time and it not going off there would either be an issue with wiring but more likely the relay sticking in the clock assembly 316436001. Read More...
Harrison January 15, 2014 for Model Number tappan tef351ewb My moms Tappan electric range model tef351ewb developed two simultaneous problems. Both of the large top burners cannot be set correctly. They are either warm or full hot. Could it be possible BOTH surface element switches became defective at once? Or could it be something in common with both large burners. The small burners and over work normally. Thanks Harrison
1 Answer Hello Harrison. You need to check the wiring first. if all wiring is good, then go to the first switch in the wiring series and replace it. It is possible if they shorted out, it could have got them both. But check the wiring first. Read More...
Wilbur November 14, 2013 for Model Number FEFL79GQA The left front element on the cooktop stays on high even when you turn the control knob down. These elements come on and off while on to maintain a constant temperature. Is this problem caused by the control switch or could there be another part causing it.
