Ann March 28, 2021 for Model Number LGHC2342LF0 Our control panel won’t switch off of “water.” We can’t get ice in cubes or crushed. All other items on the control panel function correctly. What do we need to to do to fix?
Joe June 03, 2020 for Model Number LGHC2342LF0 My user interface was showing the temp on the fridge side to be 58*, but the temp inside the fridge unit was 34* and freezing food. The freezer side worked fine. I took the top hinge cover off to inspect wiring, and the user interface went dead and the fridge light went dark, and the fridge stopped working. The freezer light remained on, but it failed to keep cool as well. What steps do I need to take to determine if it's a main board or user interface that's bad?
1 Answer Joe, based on the information provided, it sounds like there is a shorted wire (a shorted wire can cause multiple components to potentially fail). The wiring at the hinge will need to be inspected for any bare spots that may have grounded out. The main control 5304499075 can be tested for voltage to identify if it is sending 12VDC to the user interface 241973711. At the main control connection J9A, the red probe of a meter would be placed at pin 1 while the black probe is placed at pin 3. If there is not 12VDC, the main control has failed. If there is proper voltage, and there was not a shorted wire at the hinge section, the next step would be to test the user interface for incoming 12VDC. At connection J2 of the user interface, there should be 12VDC with the red probe at pin 1 and the black probe at pin 3. Glenn January 08, 2020 for Model Number FGHC2342LF2 My ice maker dispenser on water delivers water, on cube delivers cubes, on crush delivers cubes. What part should be ordered to fix this?
1 Answer Hello Glenn, the auger motor turns one direction for either cube or crushed. The difference is a solenoid 241675704 back by the auger motor housing pulls up on a rod from the rear of the ice bin to release a gate in the front of the ice bin crusher assembly to allow cubes to bypass the crusher. John July 09, 2018 for Model Number FGHC2342LF3 The light that should come on when dispensing water or ice is no longer working. I called and the rep said it was the switch assembly. I can't find any place on the door where this part can be changed? Can you tell me where this part is changed?
1 Answer John, you will have to change out the switch membrane that is adhered to the dispenser face. The old membrane will need to be peeled off and the new one placed on the same plastic housing face. Gunta February 10, 2015 for Model Number Frigidaire FGHC2342LF3 My product is Frigidaire FGHC2342LF3, purchased in 2012 About 2 weeks ago User Interface's display went blank and consequently dispenser stopped working as well. It has occasional beeps and sometimes displays T 0 and 37 for from a few sec to up 40 sec. On Sunday we flipped circuit breaker, waited 20 min, and turned on, no changes but fridge stopped working later Sunday night. I had technician over and he check wiring and was able to get fridge to work again for the time being (both sides fridge and freezer)and one time display was on for almost a minute and showed error code SY CF which I saw sometimes before Technician said that I'll need the whole User interface but I showed him that part supliers even do not sell a whole piece and I guess that display still is good, as it shows occasionally T and I was able to switch water, cube, and crush buttons and I do not need that plastic frame, etc. My guess by the error code was electronic control board ( main control board or door control board?) as wiring did not have problem. but then I saw also and Switch assembly. fridge is still beeping not all the time but occasionally -- short beeps without digits displayed or longer beeps with 0 and 37 displayed and after that again error code SY CF. I hope that I described it pretty thoroughly and you will be able to tell me the part i need. Thank you for your time. Gunta
1 Answer Gunta, The issue with the SY CF would be that the condenser fan has a error where it is not working. You will want to double check the error and make sure that it is not a SY CE. If it is a SY CE error code then this is a communication error between the user interface and the main control board. Is there a replacement part for the clear plastic and how easy is it to replace?

Bob July 11, 2012 for Model Number LGHC2342LF2 Refrigerator is little over 1 year old. The fresh food section temperature fluctuates (mostly lower, down to 23F). The temperature display readings are not accurate: +(10-26)degrees above actual temp. Done: 1. The Service Diagnostics Mode shows everything in order: damper door; thermistors; evaporator fan). 2. Checked thermistor readings 5-10% diff IAW the Resistance Chart.3. Replaced the switch control board #241973702 (your web got the wrong #241973817) and nothing's changed, the same story. Any thoughts?
1 Answer Hi Bob. The damper part # 241853801 regulates the freezer air into the fresh food. As well the return air vent part behind the crisper drawers on the center mullion divider. Remove the drawers and use a screwdriver to see if the air vent is open and not clogged in any way.
