For Frigidaire User Interface Control Board (Part Number: OEM21052194)

1 Answer

Mitch, This could be a control board issue if you have checked or replaced all four thermistors. There are two thermistors in the FF section, one in the freezer section and one for the ambient temp. See the wiring diagram that came with the refrigerator.

Hello Robert, you'll want to test on the user interface board to verify the control board is sending the proper voltage. You should see 12vdc on J7-1 to J7-3, if present the control board is doing it's job and the user interface has failed. Good Luck!

Alex, To the best of our knowledge, the display is usually green in color. The manufacturer doesn't stipulate a specific display color or parts number change. We don't have access to the part and can't check or verify the display color. The 5304527931 / 242058232 User Interface, assembly, grey, complete, is the correct part for the model number you supplied. Thanks,

Leninston, The user interface and main control are separate. You will need to replace the user interface to repair the missing segments. 5304527932. Hello Gary, While this issue is normally caused by a wiring issue or a main control, we would still need to ask you to please post a new question including the model number from your units' I.D. tag so we can provide a proper diagnosis and recommend parts that can be guaranteed to work properly on your unit. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

James, The part number you listed is held in by clips. Remove the cover and the part snaps out. If you are asking about the interface on the door there are two screws underneath the interface by the water dispenser that you take out and remove a cover then the screws for the interface are exposed.

Hello James, yes the connectors will come out by pulling them out. You'll want to grip the connector and try slowing wiggling out rather than tugging on the wires. Make sure these connectors do not have a locking tab before trying to pull them out. Hope this helps!

Ken for Model Number FGHC2331PF0

User Interface beeps frequently without touching it. Range of time between beep events varies between just a few seconds to 5 minutes. When it beeps the white menu listing shows for about 10 seconds and then reverts back to normal display. Everything seems to be working fine otherwise. This has been going on for about 2 weeks following a 2 hour power outage. I think the episodes are getting more frequent and more random. Attempted remedy: Tried cutting power at the fuse box for 10 minutes. No change. Is there anything I can do or do I need a part? Thanks

Ken, the beeping from the user interface and menu showing up is going to indicate that the user interface board [242058253] is sensing selections being made. Most likely user interface has a stuck selector causing this issue.

Neil, For this issue of the display missing sections then it would need a new user interface. For the issue of the freezer frosting then this would be a defrost issue and would need to test the defrost heater and defrost thermostat for continuity and if this checks ok then the issue will be the control board.
