For Ge Dryer Timer Knob Assembly (Part Number: OEM11985273)

Hello James. Sorry, but there is no metal knob made for this dryer. If it continues to break, the timer may be bad and to tight to turn.

Hello Mike, The timer WE04X20416 is designed to operate properly with the knob provided without any modification. If the knobs are cracking, the timer will have to be replaced because if you lubricate it with wet or dry lubricant, it will corrupt the contacts in the timer and it will never operate properly until the timer is replaced anyway.

Hello MCT! Are you missing the knob insert WH01X10106 inside the knob shaft? If not, the timer shaft itself may have been stripped and needs to be replaced, it only comes equipped with the timer part number WE4M533. Thanks!

Scott, Check and see if there was a metal insert in the shaft of the knob, or if it stuck on the timer shaft, when you pulled off the knob. If not , you'll have to replace the timer , the shaft is not available as a separate component. A proper model number will be needed to order the correct part. Good Luck and Thanks

Hello Jay. Look and see if the knob is cracked. If so, you will need to order the timer knob WE1M654. You will pull the old knob off and push the new knob onto the timer shaft. Hope this helps.

Dave for Model Number DBSR453EB3WW

In response to my "question" (actually comment/correction)concerning control knobs for certain GE dryers, I received the response copied below. The response is incorrect at least for some GE dryers including mine. The correct dryer knobs (all the same) for my GE dryer are the p/n [APPros p/n AP2044504, GE p/n WH01X10060]that I cited in my original post. I ordered THIS knob and have installed it on my dryer [m/n DBSR453EB3WW]. It fits and it MATCHES the original knobs. It is also the knob referenced on the GE parts website for this dryer. The knobs referenced by APPros do not match and may not fit. Appliance Parts Pros does a great job and I have used them for years but I believe APPros are in error regarding the correct knob for this dryer. -Dave "Hello Dave! For the listed model DBSR453EB3WW, the timer knob is part number AP3995088 and the selector knob is part number AP2044504. Using the diagram to locate the parts, you would view item 7 for the timer and item 19 for the selector knob under the control panel diagram. Both parts are used under this model. Thanks! Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com" My original "Question" / Comment: "If you are looking for the correct knob for certain GE dryers (my dryer p/n is DBSR453EB3WW) check THIS knob which is the correct matching knob although Appliance Parts Pros does not list it for some GE dryers although they DO stock it and sell it. Appliance Parts Pros Part Number: AP2044504 Manufacturer's Number(GE): WH01X10060 Made by GE Selector Knob - Color: White. Used on several General Electric and Hotpoint washers and dryers. Includes metal D shaped shaft insert. You can find this knob by searching under part number with the GE p/n listed above. This knob is also cheaper than the wrong knob listed under the dryer model number."

Hi Dave. Sorry @ the late response. I thought I had E-mailed you then but the question was categorized in our unanswered system which generates this response needed. I have issued a site issue explaining the correct knob part #. Thank You for the persistence in explaining this to us. It is valued. Your model # is listed already under the correct knob, but we still need to correct the issue.. Thanks again.
