Robert January 09, 2015 for Model Number DTS18ICRBRWW Ice maker is overflowing water. I recently installed new ice maker with same results. I will make ice on first cycle when turned on then later starts overflowing water. I am talking about a gallon over several hours if not turned and stop water flow. What needs to be done?
Carol December 18, 2014 for Model Number GEW9200LW1 My new ice maker is very slow making ice, is there any way to turn it up?
1 Answer Hello Carol, You need to put a thermometer in the freezer compartment and adjust it to 0°F to 10°F, (Colder temperatures cause a long harvest time resulting in slower ice production). If the temperature is too high you may need to clean the condenser coils or check for an air leak around the doors or the ice dispense door. If the temperature is correct, there is most likely an issue internal to the icemaker causing a long cycle. I was unable to verify the correct part number for your unit since you provided a model number for a Whirlpool front load washer. Read More...
Greg December 09, 2014 for Model Number DSS25KSRCSS I have ge refrigerator. Ice maker stopped harvesting ice in molds. Part was wr30x10044. Replacement is wr30x10093. Ordered replacement and installed. Filled with water and froze, but would not harvest (like old one didn't). Thought could have had bad replacement, so ordered 2nd replacement wr30x10093. Installed. It filled with water and froze, but would not harvest. Moved harvest rake to cycle - went through one (not two) revolution, leaving ice on top of stripper. Then refilled with water and froze. Apparently, problem is not in water intake valve. Checked temperature and I am at 2 degrees F, so it is not temperature. Not sure what to do. The only things I can think of are the Dispenser Board on the front of the freezer door, and perhaps the Main Control Board. Just ordered the Dispenser Board to see if that works. Any ideas?
1 Answer Hello Greg. If the issue continues, it is the main board on the unit or the wiring. When the icemaker gets cold enough, it is suppose to cycle. If not, it leads to the main board. Read More...
Tom December 07, 2014 We have a fairly new side by side Frigidaire and when it makes ice there is a ticking sound which speeds up then stops. Is there an adjustment that needs to be made with the icemaker unit? tom
1 Answer Hello Tom. No, there is no adjustment needed. As long as the unit is working, it should be fine. Read More...
Guest December 04, 2014 for Model Number sub zero 3211 rfd We need the connector between the ice maker module and the newer ice maker. The part number that we think we need is 3-02-273-0 is this available?
1 Answer Hello! Unfortunately, we do not carry parts for or have information available for the brand Subzero. Sorry! Read More...
Michael S November 27, 2014 for Model Number ge ice maker wr30x10093 This ice maker is making ice but ice is building up on the paddle not allowing it to swing out when the ice level drops so it will not make ice until I remove the buildup. It looks like there is a little metal part exposed at the top of the paddle where the ice builds up. Is this supposed to be heated or something to prevent this condition?
1 Answer Michael, You will want to pull the icemaker and check the coating on the ice mold and make sure that it is not deteriorating. If it is then this would be the cause for the ice to collect and cause the issue. The icemaker would need to be replaced for this issue. Read More...
Mickey November 20, 2014 for Model Number GE I just received, from you, an ice maker model WR 30X 10093 to replace my JS2 ice maker. It is installed and working but the cubes are very small...is there an adjustment to allow more water to enter the bin.
1 Answer Hello Mickey. The icemaker comes preset for the correct cube size. It may be that the water valve is not letting in enough water to fill the icemaker. Read More...
Debbie S. November 14, 2014 for Model Number GSH25JSXSS Doesn't make getting water to door not ice maker. the solenoid in back has water going to it. water comes thorough the other side only out of one tube and their are two 1 for water and one for ice maker is that the problem? possibly. Except the test were you turn ice maker off then on and push paddle back 3x within 15 seconds and the ice maker should go thorough a cycle mine doesn't. Also I poured water into the ice tray and the water froze and nothing happened. Help what should be my next step?
1 Answer Debbie, Normally we would recommend you test or replace the WR57X33326 fill valve first. But since the ice maker will not start or advance into the test mode you'd want to start with a new WR30X10093 ice maker. Read More...
Greg S November 12, 2014 Had a wr30x10044 in a GE Adora side by side. It would fill but stopped expelling ice that formed. Could get it to do a cycle manually (turn off x15 seconds, three paddle arm presses), but it would not do it on its own. Got a replacement - wr30x10093 and installed. Filled immediately with water but never expelled ice (harvested). Couldn't figure out how to manually cycle it. Returned it for another one (wr30x10093). Same situation. It fills with water and ice forms, but the ice maker will not harvest/expel ice. I know it is not a broken machine (3 in a row with same problem). What is causing this problem?
1 Answer Greg, The first step in this will be to determine the freezer temperature. If the temperature is not falling below 15 degrees then the icemaker will not harvest the ice. Read More...
Chris October 26, 2014 for Model Number ZFSB26DNDSS After overproduction of ice, icemaker assembly, including solenoid, was changed out twice, resulting in no ice production whatsoever. For "investigative purposes" connector cable of icemaker assembly was cut to check conductivity. Conclusion rendered: unrepairable! Refrigerator/ freezer is in top shape and holds temperatures as it should otherwise. What could have gone wrong here?
1 Answer Hello Chris, Brown is the hot wire to the icemaker assembly and orange is the neutral. The white is the wire used to send voltage to the water valve when the icemaker is ready to fill. Normally an un-repairable condition is met when the problem is inside the icemaker assembly since parts are not available for it. This makes the icemaker the part to correct the issue. Be aware that when troubleshooting the icemaker, the door switch has to be closed. Read More...
